Saturday night turned into a horror movie at London’s Leytonstone underground station as an attacker slashed a person’s throat while shouting “this is for Syria.” Police, who had difficulty detaining the man with only a Taser, are now treating the incident as a terror act.

The attack took place in the ticket hall at Leytonstone station. Witnesses described a horrific scene, with a pool of blood on the floor and the attacker shouting, while threatening to stab others.

NOTE TO ALL ARBAEEN: Please stay safe because the wahabi's have struck literally a day before Arbaeen so please be careful at the Arbaeen Procession 07 December 2015. Also be careful look after the muslimah sisters as well because there is no telling of a attack on them or us by Far Right Protesters.

this is why people need basic training in martial arts so that they can fundamentally defend themselves i.e push kicks, head kicks, proper punches takedowns etc

i did martial arts for about 15 years, namely kickboxing and muay thai as well as taekwondo when i was younger and i realized that having this edge in society , most attacks you can easily deflect without causing any damage to the other person

yes a knife is quiet intimidating, but if your well versed in your range and abilities you know at what distance your in danger and can avoid it, but also what distance you need to in order to strike, and obviously you got your foot work done(hopefully) so that if the person comes forward or lunges you can change your angle or move out of the way appropriately (called shadowing in boxing)

and usually if you have good counter attacks, the moment they slash and you can avoid it you can rush in while they recover their arm and take them down , of course if your not confident in this so that you can do it instinctively, then dont play with your life

besides you can always train with a fake knife to get adapted to it
