lol i dont think its cruel - you think a human can get his/her cat to do something of this sort without getting nearly murdered first?

and it isn't lit and the kitten looks well-fed and looked after

lighten up :)

Depends on the number of puffs hes taken.

---------

There was a huge anti-smoking campaign in these parts for decades, and now it is difficult to smoke in public without being embarrassed,

No wonder, neither me nor any of my relatives smoke, to the extent I am aware. There is a tremendous societal pressure to not smoke.

In general, if people do smoke, they do it in private, and rarely in public.

Yeah, the ban on the smoking in closed buildings or in some public areas is due to the effect of second had smoking or passive smoking

Just think about the live God gave you.

And then you start smoking, which in my opinion is a way of being ungrateful of what one have been given.

Then there are those that smoke because of issues they struggle with. But why lay problem over problem?

I so much agree the key is focusing on the positive, nothing else. Without exciting plans and illusions I wouldn't be able to keep it. It's not only smoking but I'm motivated ti be healthier as a whole (food, sports, more socializing, etc.). I can't think of quitting smoking as a single goal, it is a consequence or part of an exciting inspirational change I would say, a new phass in my life :P!

I've been up the past 4 hours and I haven't smoked yet.

You guys need to appreciate that ya know?

Let's see how long I last

I do a lot, yeah, I am rooting for you. Let’s see how long you can last without relapsing. Seriously wish I could help you by giving you a Zonnic for your smoking. Maybe if you quit smoking, your health will improve greatly and you will feel much better.

I'm left to wonder if my health is deteriorating due to excessive smoking or unbearable amounts of stress tbh GC :/

From what you told me about your health, it is suffering due to the stress which causes you smoke excessively which damages and deteriorates your body which causes even more stress and your body's inability to heal correctly and the really scary migraines. If you could kill the proverbial two birds with one stone, you will be a much happier person. You are a very good and important person, my favorite Shia chatter and I support you no matter what.

Bakir - i have new found respect for you. good going my twin!

No quiting allowed, your body has been telling you to stop for a while. If you have a headache, I heard that chewing gum can ease headaches and stop nicotine cravings.

You are doing great, 4 is better than 10 cigarettes , now try to bring it down one cigarette at a time. Don't suddenly quit, do it gradually, that way your body can adjust.

Step 1

Wean yourself off cigarettes gradually. After months or years of smoking, nicotine builds up in your system. When you no longer sustain the level of nicotine, your body goes into withdrawal leading to symptoms such as headaches.

Step 2

Practice breathing exercises, recommends QuitSmokingSupport.com. You'll feel more relaxed and experience fewer headaches. Inhale slowly and deeply, hold for five seconds and exhale slowly while counting to seven.

Step 3

Stay well-hydrated as dehydration also causes headaches or exacerbates headaches caused by withdrawal. Drink lots of water, herbal teas and freshly squeezed juices to stay well-hydrated. Reduce the amount of dehydrating beverages you drink such as coffee or other caffeinated beverages.

I tried to find a youtube on the breathing therapy. I learned it from a caoch on a summer course and as silly as it seems, it actually works and i use it from time to time.

Rehydration is essential ... No one should look down at the power of the simple pure water.

Even if that technology is ever available I wouldn't opt for it :(

Keep trying. One day if with you and ten are against you .. that's life.. so keep trying

one less cigarette a day is still a good plan

one less cigarette a week isn't bad ... just have faith and keep trying
