The tenth
The universe mourns
The chaos that stirred,
Was it the Quran that fell?
Walk me to Karbala!
Let my vision hold the enigma,
As it unfolds.

 

And for what I saw there
Choked on my tears, as I struck my head
Noor of Zahra’s eyes, Sibt-e Rasool
In a bed of arrows, held still.
Wa Muhammada! Wa Aliya!
Pages of Qur’an-e Natiq 
Scattered it lay
Some torn, some burnt 
Some trampled, it lay.

 

And Zahra, with a despaired heart
Collected each page
Held it close to her heart,
The heaven was in rage!

Mashaallah

Good Job !

Very sad and emotional poem.

I also wrote a poem about the tenth,it is about hat Yazid did on the tenth of Muharram.

Women screaming

men dying

children crying

tents burning

 

who could cut off Abbas's arms

who could cause  this much harm

 

who could kill Qasim and gloat

who  could pierce ali asghar's throat

 

who could kill Ja'far and Abdullah ibn Ali will follow

who could cause Zainab so much sorrow

 

who could kill Ali Akbar and call himself wise.

who could injure Ruqais eyes

 

who could make Zain Alabideen more ill

who could talk from the women their own will

 

who could bear hearing children cry with thirst

he who could bear hearing the stomachs of kids  grumbling is the worst

 

who made Ummul Banin cry for her children

who made Sukaina cry as she rubbed Maymoon’s chin

 

who made Zainab say that she had seen nothing but beauty

she new her brother had fulfilled his duty

 

who could cut off Imam Husayn's  head

who could make the Ahlulbayt covered in red

who allowed ruqai to die on her father's head

 

who made fatima and the prophet weep in their graves about what became of their progeny

who in karbala killed many

Who through all this stood proud

Who laughed among the crowd

may Allah curse you ya yazid oh cursed and son of the cursed

 

Karaba will not be in vain

let us wait for the grandson of hussain

Islam he will embody

Hurry up ya mahdi
