I wish he had said more. Just goes to show that even Sunnis aren't unified on the issue of Imam Mahdi(as). A large number of Sufis in the Indo-Pak region actually do believe that the Mahdi has already arrived, so that should serve as a reminder to us that we're on the right track.

i don't understand why those people refer to dajjal as the enemy of the mahdi, when the dajjal is the archenemy of Jesus.

His master Nazim Al Haqqani is notorious for making false predictions, and he said that Mahdi will arise in damascus, while our hadiths say that sufiani will arise from there .. Same people who gave Bush the title of saint .. as well as Tony Blair ..

my theory of why they talk only of Dajjal is to confuse people and let their guard down for any potential fake anti-mahdis. basically a man or men who claim to be mahdi .. unlike Dajjal who claims to be Jesus .

of course his comment about people leading "western" lifestyles and smoking being banned from joining the Mahdi group is kind of prejudice. There will be westerners for sure, and all humans are sinners. Who is he to say that smoking is a red line when it comes to joining the Mahdi's crew? It's not like "West" is bad and "East" is good .. they are both good and bad obviously.

it's typical way of talking of someone who is so sure that he himself is so holy and good enough for being qualified for the Mahdi .. And that background picture .. is that the Ottoman Caliph Sulayman?
