Iraq City Najaf Fortifying Border To Prevent Isil

Looks like they have started putting up borders already on shia areas.. Hopefully this isn't the start of separate states.

The south-central holy Iraqi city of Najaf is fortifying its borders to prevent any potential inflow by terrorists with the ISIL Takfiri group from Anbar Province and Saudi Arabia, Press TV reports.

Najaf, the capital of a province of the same name, is home to the shrine of one of the most revered figures in Islam, Imam Ali (AS).

The province shares tens of kilometers of borders with Saudi Arabia and the Anbar province. At least one attempt by ISIL terrorists has been recorded over the past few months to infiltrate the holy city.

History repeating itself. After the rise of the movement of Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab, when the tribes in Najd were converted and the Saudi state formed, they attacked Najaf and Karbala in 1801. They sacked Karbala and killed 5,000 people and plundered the shrine of Imam Husayn (a) and I believe Najaf was fortified so they weren't successful there. You gotta build these walls to keep these savages out, learn from history.

Maybe it's for the better.

Also, I don't think ISIS/ISIL's state is sustainable enough, it's really just a matter of time. If you ask me, this is probably the best opportunity to shoot as many fish in a single barrel.
