Salaam,

Why is it that everyone is just silent on the topic of returning of Imam Mahdi or just speaks on the occasion of his birthday only? Why we aren't realizing that Imam is just near to come and we aren't prepared. What if Imam comes tomorrow? Are we ready to skip our daily chores and work for him? Are we ready to five up our interests and bow down on the interests of the Imam Mahdi a.s?

Why is that Dajjal is working at it best to destroy the image of Islam, planning and giving its best to propose the new world order without any religion sustaining? What if Imam called on, 'O XYZ, come with me to have a fight with Zionism' ? Will you be thinking at that time that what should I do or should I first clean up my business and matters and then I would consider going to help Imam?

Aren't we just busy in our daily schedule just like a programmed robot. Why we aren't realizing that our day is majorily based on the ideas designed by Zionists? Daily use of Facebook, twitter, frequent android use, watching TV, movies, comedy shows, music, business matters, job tensions..

Literally ask yourself and I'm asking myself too, Is everything we do today is a global effect of Zionism? Am I the prey of Dajjal? Am I justifying my daily work as to be under Islamic boundaries? Am I killing myself with daily drugged pills that looks good but are too much intoxicated having a lasting effect!

Please open your eyes, just forcefully pull out some time for yourself and Allah, try remembering Imam Mahdi all the time, just relate Imam Mahdi a.s with everything good you see in your daily life and you would be nearer to him helping you to seek refuge from Dajjal's conspiracy!

Why is it that " I will just apply to work for the Imam when he arrives." Isn't the real duty is before his arrival? Why people use to make food for guests before his arrival. Why not start making it after their arrival?

Wasalam wr wb,

Thanks for sharing.

How do you suggest one can start with this, or do this?

I would argue that trying to stay as close to the sunnah and keeping the rememberance of Allah swt in our hearts, promoting justice and addresing contemporary issues, politically, socially, scientififcally, and harbouring unity between shias and sunni's as well as between religions, and addresing the atheistic threat cordially and through peaceful debates in my own view, is the way we can help prepare for Imam Mahdi a.s

Salam brother advocate,

It is easy when you have intended to do something with good will. I think, you're asking about how to relate things with Imam Mahdi a.s helping you to come closer to him.

Think of anything like if you are walking by and saw a beggar, think of if Imam was there, there would be no beggar around here and things like that. It looks something weird but it is a part of the spirituality. If you do a sin, repent and think of why I have done this? Well, there are sins which are much been promoted by zionists, then working against zionists make you closer to the Imam Mahdi a.s. Its a spiritual thing and one having a true intention to join Imam Mahdi a.s's army ranks would always cry, plead for his coming, always think about him.

I can give you my example that there was a time when I use to listen to majalis and nohas excessively. This made me closer to my Imam Mahdi a.s. I use to cry for long for his re-appearance. I always try to remember him everytime. I also heard a voice that 'Mahdi has re-appeared' and I woke up in anxiety but I couldn't believe that it was just a dream. From that day, I just have a lust to think and read about my Mahdi.

So you know, if you have a pure niyyat (intention), everything is possible.

Well a lot of people claim to be the imam, even today. I don't think it'll be clear to everyone that whoever is claiming to be the Mehdi (as) is actually him. The Jews were waiting for Mohammed (pbuh), but many turned their backs when he did arrive. So I don't think people will "drop" everything and go. Because before they realise it's him, it'll probably take them some time. Unless God enlightened them personally of course.

Honestly, a lot of us aren't too sure about his existence, whether it's literal or just parable. Myself included. But, I believe for now, just with doubt. I think that's okay...?

I'm not leaving any room for chances, so I'm preparing too alhamdullilah :)

Well, if you aren't sure about his arrival NoorA then why are you just wasting your time in meaningless preparation where you are in doubt leaving you into nothing. Imam is pleading for those companions whose hearts are like mountains, their faith is solid and they just obey their imam without reasoning or questioning.

Well, from your words it clear that you aren't passionate about Imam's arrival thus it does mean that you're loving your life thus doesn't want any kind of infiltration in your busy life? And it does mean that today's world where Shia is been persecuted, it doesn't bother you.

easy, haha. you're a little quick to judge. No need to jump the gun. Yes I'm busy with life. I am alive after all; I'm breathing, I have a pulse and I'm conscious, aren't I?

Well, hmm.. I'm not too sure how to phrase this for you. If I prepare all my life and the imam doesn't arrive within my lifetime, what happens to all the time and effort I put into preparing? How did I help humanity with that? Frankly, if I only prepare and wait, then that's of no use really. But if I prepare, and put it into good use regardless of his arrival- well that's wonderful! Just like hitting two birds with one stone. This is what I meant when I questioned whether the prophecy of his arrival and its story was just a parable. So that we all prepare, put it into use, and essentially become small-scale "saviours".  But put many of those small-scale saviours into one, and you'll be saving many more people on a much larger scale.

I don't need to believe in an Imam, though like said I do just with a little doubt, to care for fellow shias being brutally butchered across the sea. In fact, I don't even need to be shia to care. I just need a sense of humanity. I don't only care for shia, I care for everyone, yazidi, kurdi, syrian, sunni, iraqi, christian, jewish, whatever. So long it's human and doesn't mean to harm anyone.

NoorA, believe on Imam's arrival is compulsory. One who died without recognizing Imam of his/her time died in the state of Ignorance. And yeh, I 've read that before the arrival of Imam, Shia of ALI will start raising objections and doubt on his existence and his arrival.

Your efforts will pull you out from your grave if you're passionate to see him and join him in his army. See, if every Shia started to think like that what if he doesn't come in my life, then how in the Earth Imam would manage to align his army of true believers. And if you die without seeing Imam then you're a Shaheed and just like the person who got Shaheed in the ranks of Imam's army.

Many of us wouldn't try to think that "Hey, what if Mahdi came and ask me what I've done for him? What I have done to safeguard his followers and what I've done to protect and flourish prophet's and his household deen for which they sacrificed their lives?"

So I'm kinda confused that if a Shia speaks like this and it hurts me, how much my Imam would get hurt from your statements: "hitting 2 birds with one stone etc"

Hasanhh, preparing for the Arrival of Mahdi a.s is the real  preparation of the last day!

Let me rephrase myself. Preparing for the imam (as), loving your life, helping people without the imam and caring about both shia and non-shia, none of these events are mutually exclusive. That is what I meant by "hitting two birds with one stone". I think to help people while you're alive now and along the Mahdi (as), is better than just helping people when the mahdi (as) arrives. Because imagine you were smart enough to create a vaccine for diseases, or to help over a dozen people in famine, but you withheld your skills for his arrival. Those poor people could have been saved. Don't you think your imam would've wanted that? Put your skills into use :) Prepare, and put them into use in this lifetime and whatever lifetime to come :)

As for believing in the Imam, if that was in regards to my doubt then it's only doubt- I still believe. There's just a little crack in my castle of faith, that crack, is doubt. But the castle still exists, I still have faith in him.

Thanks for caring enough to warn me though. I really appreciate it :)

Get close to Imam Mahdi (as), hopefully he (as) will let you know what to do with your life.   That is how to prepare for his return.  Everybody has a role to play, but we need to know what is the role.
