،السلام عليكم

What books can I read whether from the Western tradition and from our own tradition to improve the ability to reason and use logic, as well as to understand it? I can only read English proficiently.

I would please prefer them to be online for viewing. If not, then tell please tell me if they're available online for purchasing.

Thank you and may Allah protect you.

My personal fallacy , and I love it.

Overgeneralization (also Hasty Generalization). The stupid but common fallacy of incorrectly applying one or two examples to all cases (e.g. “Some college student was tailgating me all the way up North Main Street last night. This proves that all college students are lousy drivers and that we should pull their driver’s licenses until they either grow up, learn to drive or graduate!”).

For traditional logic, a decent book written in the West is An introduction to logic, by William Henry S. Monck, ed. by M.C. Hime [book from the late 1870s].

Otherwise, A Summary of Logic by Sayyid Sadiq Shirazi is not too bad either for an introductory text.
