(salam)

I've been searching throughout the internet and this forum and I found out that there is a lot of controversy regarding wearing rings with specific gemstones such as the Aqeeq, Feroza and such and I even got an Aqeeq which I've been using since a few days due to some narrations which I trusted at first but I could not find an authentication of during my search

The problem is that the only 2 narrations that were authenticated:
http://www.revivingalislam.com/2010/08/sunnah-of-wearing-aqeeq-agate-ring_31.html

Yet someone later comes and posts that they might not be because al-Majlisi claimed that he made mistakes during his grading of some narrations in that book

But I noticed many of the scholars of the Ja'fari school of thought wear a ring and some people on this site claimed that some jurists give out the rings when you meet them

A well-known famous speaker (Sayed Ammar Nakshawani) said in a video that Aqeeq and other stones help protect against the evil eye

Can we put an end to this confusion at once please?

What is the authentic point of view of Ahlul Bayt  (as) on this matter?

If the Aqeeq is truly authentically useful in some way, what about the other gemstones?

The narrations authenticated by al-Majlisi, does not change whether the narration is authentic or weak. if you revise the narrators of the chain, you will find that all of the narrators are Thiqah (trustworthy). In concern with wearing of Aqeeq. It is highly recommended, and a number of narrations (including the ones you linked) indicate so. Thus, there seems to be no issue or "confusion".

Thank you

Now that I know that Aqeeq and Yaqut are recommended due to those authentic narrations in that site, what about the other gemstones such as the Feroza, Dur-e-Najaf and Hematite (Hadeed-e-Seen)?

Are there any authentic narrations? since the brother from that site claims that he searched in the book al-Kafi and all he could find was weak narrations

On a side note, can someone please bring us the opinion of a scholar or jurist regarding wearing a ring containing titanium since as I remember there are narrations prohibiting iron, steel and brass?

I am not a scholar and I am certainly not an expert of hadith but I have read many narrations about wearing aqeeq and other stones in the books of certain scholars I would deem trust worthy. There are sections on wearing these rings in al-Kulayni's al-Kafi, al-Amali's Wasa'il al-Shi'a and other books, but there are also sections on wearing rings in the books meant for general readership such as al-Majlisi's Hilyat al-Mutaqeen, al-Saduq's Thawab al-Amal, and al-Tabarsi's Makarim al-Akhlaq, and many other books intended for laymen such as myself.

Furthermore, we have narrations from the A'immah (as) that say if we follow something we believe comes from them, we still receive the reward of that saying.
