In Islamic tradition it is the site where Adam fell to earth and where his footprint can be found

Adam's Peak or Seri Pada in Sirilanka which in Buddhist tradition is held to be the footprint of the Buddha, in Hindu tradition that of Shiva and in Islamic and Christiantradition that of AdamThe footstep is covered by a handsome roof, and is guarded by the priests of a rich monastery half-way up the mountain, who maintain a shrine on the summit of the peak."

And as mentioned in the Islamic history, Adam A.S fell on Serendib Mount in Sirilanka , and Eve (Hawa A.S) fell on Al-Marwa in Mecca, while the Satan was dropped in the lowest point on earth, a salty valley in Basra/ Iraq

This sounds to me like one of those things newly converted Muslims from Hinduism would say to "beat" Hindu gods.

Instead of saying Shiva dropped here they just make up something and say now that we are Muslims, Adam dropped here.

Al-Salam Alaikum

First of all, it is nothing very important to build on it a belief

there is an opinion that both Buddhism and Hinduism are Heavenly religions and Buddha was a prophet, and they where subjected to distortion like every belief

that way there is common laws and beliefs in Islam and those Ancient religions ,

there is 2 says in our books about the dropping of Adam A.s and Eve A.S :

first say of Imam Sadiq A.S : that Adam was dropped in India ( Serendib)

2nd : from Imam Sadiq A.S too : Adam was dropped in the mount of Safa (in Mecca) and Eve A.S Was dropped in the mount of Marwa (in Mecca)

although Serendib was mentioned in khutbah al bayan of Imam Amiralmomenin A.S  as the home of three of Imam Mahdi's (a.t.f) Companions
