What's the difference between Juz, and Chapter?

 

And also where do we know what chapter is a surah in? Just by counting the surah? Or how does it work?

Chapter is an English word for Surah, whereas Juz is an equal 1/30 Part of the Quran.

Surah is an Arabic word for Protection Wall around an exclusion zone, in this case protecting its text.

Al-Quran is an Arabic word for The Readable (despite being encrypted) book.
