Block In Studies! Help..

Fresh-imaan

Recommended Posts

Salaam all,

So I am a student. I feel like I have this block.  I feel as if I don't have the capability to be successful in my project and general reading. When I want to read, I feel like I need to know everything. It is just overwhelming me. So much so that I can't open my work and just want to run away from it. I have a major exam in exactly one month, and a deadline for my research project mid month. I don't feel that I know my subject well and just really want to know and understand it.

pleeasee someone give me some tips or something

Wassalam,

I've been in your situation recently, what works for me personally is calming down and taking it step by step.

First I outline a game plan. I figure out roughly how much time I will give for the exam studying and how much for the project (I like to get the project out of the way as fast as possible).

For the exam, I just outline the main material that I should know, so basically the Must Knows. Afterwards, when I have that down, I'll review it now and then (to keep it fresh) while mainly going over the other material that is "desirable" to know. My goal is just to retain as much as I can and not worry about what I don't know.

Then executing the game plan is the hard part, you gotta really stay on track, and also make sure you don't burn out (meaning don't overwork yourself). Eat well, sleep well, and try to get in 30min exercise a day.

What works for me study-wise is understanding the material first then repetition (you should have been through your material at least once by now and should understand most of it).

Follow through with your game plan and don't stress on what you don't know. Just focus on the tasks at hand and push through. Hard work always pays off.

May Allah make it easy on you.

Pray to Allah to grant you knowledge and keep reading bit by bit or as much as you can. Don't worry Allah is the best planer.
