Veteran Member Ali-F 2,557 Posted March 17, 2015 Veteran Member Report Share Posted March 17, 2015 Salam alaykum. ". The time of Namaz-e-Ayaat sets in as the eclipse starts, and remains till the eclipse is over. It is better, however, not to delay till the reversal of eclipse commences, though completion of Namaz-e-Ayaat may coincide with the time of reversal." Now, what that does that mean? Furthermore, can you delay namaz ayat (and pray it later on when it's finished)? Because it's wajib upon me to pray it, but I am at school when this happens.. ws. Advanced Member followers 110 Posted March 19, 2015 Advanced Member Report Share Posted March 19, 2015 Salamun alaykum Issue 1504: * The time of Salat al-Ayaat sets in as the eclipse starts, and remains till the eclipse is over. It is better, however, not to delay till the reversal of eclipse commences, though completion of Salat al-Ayaat may coincide with the time of reversal. Issue 1505: If a person delays offering of Salat al-Ayaat till the sun or the moon starts coming out of eclipse, the niyyat of Ada (i.e. praying within time) will be in order, but if he offers the prayers after the eclipse is over, he should make a niyyat of qadha. So if you did not perform the Salat al-Ayat (for any reason) in the time while the eclipse is happening, you are to offer it afterward with different niyyat (intention), for you are offering it as qada (passed time). For example if you had the opportunity to perform the prayer in the school at the right time (while there is eclipse) so you are performing it Ada (in the time); otherwise, you should have the intention Qada if you want to perform it at home (after the eclipse has finished). Advanced Member mostafaa 244 Posted March 20, 2015 Advanced Member Report Share Posted March 20, 2015 Salam Alaykum It means you have to pray Ayat Namaz within a limited time and you're not allowed to postpone it until next time. Therefore you have to pray between the time moon starts to be covered by darkness until then it starts to be uncovered. This is the time to begin your praying and there is no limitation when to finish praying. mina
