That happens in an idealistic world, time, eg. it happened during the prophet's times. Now a days lol, specially in the west, it is near impossible. So just forget about marriage till you reach the age your parents wants you to wait. Instead focus on other things in life.

Wish as he spoke stacks of $$$ had came out from his mouth and all youth were married right away!

Apparently I've just realised that the Ayatollah is a bit of a controversy. So what makes you say that $$$ may come out of his mouth?

Nonetheless, what he said in the clip was very valuable and important.

Talk to the youth, have you realized how ridiculous their demands are?

I only feel sorry for the Saliheen who have a reasonable or low demand yet still people reject them because of money or a house.

Even if they had money, it would be pointlessly spent on a big fancy wedding, dresses etc.

So I think words are more than enough, these people have turned marriage into a prize for the rich.

And seeing some of the women who married for money, how stupid were they to think the marriage would be a good one if the man is rich? Idiots, one the one hand I feel sorry for them but at the same time I feel like ripping their faces off for their sheer idiocy.

I agree to some extent with the video and with what you said Khalil. But I also believe the source of these ridiculous high demands come from the ridiculously extreme strictness we have in our societies.

For me it is evident these are different times, our mindset has grown and our maturity comes later. That's a fact in comparison to the time of the Prophet (saww). When you still remain subjucated by the social and "religious" strictness regarding the matter of marriage, you tend to at least expect a lot from your partner. People nowadays need more freedom of movement. Talking immediately about marriage with a person you barely even know has always been in my eyes something crazy. That's just my very honest opinion.

This forced lack of movement regarding marital issues that the youth are feeling, in my opinion comes due to the lack of parents who trust their youth.

As for the money thing... I must agree that this society is obssesed with it. Many parents would sell their daughters for money.
