Hadith five: Grades of belief

“A people came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during one of the armed expeditions and he asked who are these people? They said, ‘Believers, O Messenger of Allah. ﷺ ’ He then asked, ‘What is the degree of your belief?’ They replied, ‘It is patience in hardships, thankfulness in prosperous life and agreement with the decision of Allah.’ The Messenger of Allah  ﷺ then said, ‘These are forbearing and knowledgeable people. Their understanding is almost to the degree of the prophets. If you really are what you say you are, do not build what you will not use for dwelling, do not accumulate what you will not eat and be pious before Allah to whom you will return.’”

The Prophet  narrating al-Hadith al-Qudsi:

“The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Allah, the Most Blessed, the Most High, has said, “The doers of good deeds must not rely on their deeds alone to receive rewards from Me. If they strive and tire themselves (for a lifetime) to worship Me they still have shortcomings in their worship. They cannot reach the essence of worshipping Me to find what they look for. They cannot receive My grace and bounties in My paradise and high ranks near Me without My kindness. They must rely on My kindness, hope for My additional rewards, be comfortable in their hopefulness about Me. My kindness and mercy, in such cases, will reach them, from Me My gratification and forgiveness will close up to them, and My pardon will provide them cover. I am Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful, and thus I have named Myself.”’”

Hadith 52:

Jaffar ibn Muhammed (as-Sadiq) has said:  “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ once passed by a kid of a goat that was dead, with ears cut and was thrown on the trash collection site of a people. He asked those people how much it was worth. They replied, ‘Even when alive it was worth less than a dirham.’ The Holy Prophet then said, ‘I swear by the One in whose hand is my soul that this world in the sight of Allah is worth less than this (dead) goat is in the eyes of the people who own it.”‘

Hadith 71:

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has said :’Jibril spoke to me that Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, sent an angel to earth and the angel began walking until he came to a door where a man was asking for permission from the people of the house. The angel asked him, ‘What do you need from the owner of this house?’ He replied, ‘He is a Muslim brother (in belief). I have come to visit him for the sake of Allah, the Most Blessed, the Most High.’ The angel then asked, ‘Is that the only reason for your visit?’ The man said, ‘Nothing else has brought me here but that.’ The angel then said, ‘I am the Messenger of Allah to you and He sends you the greeting of peace and says, ‘I have made paradise obligatory for you.’ The angel then said, ‘Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, says, ‘Whoever of the Muslims visits an other Muslim, in fact, has not visited him but he has visited Me and his reward from Me is paradise.'”

Once I asked him (abu 'Abd Allah), Imam Jaffer as Sadiq(as)" , 'Is it unlawful to publicize the secrets and  privacy of a believer before another believer?' The Imam said,  'Yes, it is unlawful.' I then asked, 'Do you thereby (privacy)  mean his two lower organs (backside and genitals)?' The Imam said,  'It is not what you thought it is. It is to publicize his secrets and  private matters.'"

Muhammad ibn Ali al-Baqir (asws) said,

“Nothing is better than the following five on the day of #Eid ul #Azha:
1. Sacrificing (of an animal).
2. Going to do good to one’s parents.
3. Re-establishing ties of kinship with those relatives with whom such ties are broken and being kind to them, being first in greeting them
4. Eating some from of one’s own sacrificed animal and feeding the rest to the neighbors from amongst the orphans, the poor & the slaves.
5. To take care of the imprisoned ones.

"I heard Amir al-Mu'minin Ali (a.s.) say, 'O people, you must know that religion becomes
complete through seeking knowledge and acting accordingly. You must know that seeking
knowledge is much more urgent for you than seeking wealth. In wealth every one's share is
guaranteed. A just person has already divided the wealth among you. He and my sword
guarantee you to receive your share. Knowledge, however, is stored with those who possess
it. You are commanded to seek knowledge from its sources (those who possess it). You must
seek knowledge.'"

"O Hisham, the commander of the true believers, Imam Ali (a.s) has said, "Allah is worshipped better by
no means other than intelligence. No one's intelligence reaches perfection until therewith is found
various qualities. Disbelief and evil should not emerge therefrom. Wisdom and goodness should be
expected to exist therewith. The extra of the property of a person of intelligence is given in charity, the
extra of his words is restrained and his share of the worldly things is only the basic necessities. He never
considers himself as to have learned enough. To be with Allah, although in a very humble state, is far
better to him than to live very much honored with others. Humbleness is more beloved to him than
being taken as a dignitary. He considers virtuous deeds of others a great deal and his own virtuous deeds
as insignificant. He considers all the other people better than his self and his own self as the worse of all

and this is the totality of all things."

"Abu 'Abdallah (a.s.) said, 'O Thabit, why would you bother about people. Leave them alone
and do not call anyone to accept your faith. I swear by Allah that even if all the people in the
heavens and earth would come together to guide a person whom Allah wants not to guide
they will never be able to guide him. If all the people in the heavens and earth would come
together to misguide a person whom Allah wants to guide, they will never be able to misguide
him. Leave the people alone. Let no one say, 'O my uncle, my brother, the son of my uncle
and my neighbor.' When Allah wants good for a person He cleanses his spirit. He then would
not hear any lawful thing but that he knows it and no unlawful thing but that he dislikes it.
Then Allah places a word in his heart with which He organizes all his affairs."

#Advice of the #Prophet (saww):

Ibn Abbas said, "I said to the Prophet (saww), advice me:

The Prophet (saww) said, "Obligatory upon you is the love of Ali ibn Abi Talib (as). By the one who send me as a true Prophet, Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى will not accept any good deed from his servants until He asks him about the love of Ali ibn Abi Talib (as). And Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى very well knows that if his servant comes to Him along with the Wilayah of Imam Ali (as), He accepts his deeds of whatever is there. And if he does not come with Wilayah of Imam Ali (as), Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى does not ask him about anything and orders him to be put into the fire."

"O' ibn Abbas, by the one who send me as the true Prophet, the fire of Hell is more furious upon the one who hates Ali (as) than the one who claims that Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى has a son."

"O' ibn Abbas, If the close angels and the Messengers gather upon the hatred of Ali (as) which they will never do, Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى will punish them with fire."

I (ibn Abbas) said, "O' Prophet (saww), will anyone hate Imam Ali (as)?"

The Prophet (saww) said, "Yes, a group who think they are from my community will hate Him. Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى has not made any share for them in Islam."

"O' ibn Abbas, from the signs of hating Imam Ali (as) is to give preference to others over Him. By the one who send me with truth no Prophet is more honorable than Me and no successor is more honorable than My successor Ali (as)

The Believers after the appearance of Mahdi (atfs) !!!

Imam al-Ridha (asws) said:

"When the Qaem (atfs) arises, Allah will order the angels to greet the believers and to sit with them in their assemblies. And if one of them wishes one thing, Al Qaem (atfs) will send some angels to bring him to Him, then the angel takes him to Qaem (atfs) who realizes his need, then he returns him.

And there will be among the believers those who will travel in the clouds, and those who will fly with the angels, and those who walk with the angels, and some of them will go beyond the angels and some of those to whom the angels go to have judgments.

Indeed, the believer is more worthy near Allah than the angels. And among the believers, there will be those whom the Qaem (atfs) will appoint as judge among a hundred thousand angel."

In regards to finding a spouse:

Imam Ali (‘a) said: Do not look at much they pray and fast, how many times they have been to Hajj and their acts of kindness and their murmuring during night (Salat al-Layl)! Look at their truthfulness and trustworthiness.

Imam al-SÁdiq (‘a): ‘Do not be fooled by how much they pray and fast. Verily a man may become so accustomed to Salat and fasting that if he abandons them, he feels strange. Rather you should test them in regard to truthfulness and returning trusts.
