So basically I will be going to London for Uni. My parents have put forward a condition (which I accepted) where I go to the Hawza part time. I want to know what the Hawza Ilmiyya of London is like and how the part time course works? How will it fit in with my university? What is taught there? How many times a week do I have to go? When can I quit my part time course? Also just in general tell me about London. Are there any Imam Bargahs in central London? What are the people like? Will I fit in in university?

I have applied for part time Howza too and I am studying at university.

You have to attend at least 12 hours a week otherwise you will have to pay £100 for each module.

There is the Islamic Centre of England which is only 10 - 20 minutes away from the Howza, It is the best Mosque I have seen in all of England.

London is full of people from other cultures, religions and countries. There is no discrimination at all and I must say I have a hard time seeing any English people, they seem so outnumbered.

The area where the Howza is, I used to live there once, it is a very nice area, plenty of Parks, gyms, leisure centres, its a busy place full of people.

The transport in London is also very good, you can be wherever you want in 30 minutes using the underground trains, the buses are also very quick and they arrive at a stop once every 2-10 minutes. So travelling is very easy and cheap here.

See you at Howza Inshallah.

So do you work the part time timetable into your own time or do you have to attend specific classes? My university will be pretty far so I'll be travelling 40-50 mins to and then back everytime I have to get to the Hawza, I'll probably want to come in 2-3 days max and do my classes then. Also what were the entry requirements? Who wrote your recommendation letter? Thanks. Im too curious.

You need at least A levels. I didn't write a recommendation letter but I will need to fill out a reference form by 2 scholars.

I am also interested in studying in howza and I wonder how to get that recommendation letter? Because I'm not very active in any Islamic organization.
