A pea coat with a hood is good, but it is not really stylish. It's more like classic or simple elegance. Hold the coat in your hands and if it feels pretty light it won't be warm enough. If your coat does not keep you warm enough, wear a sweater before you put your coat on.

Worthington is a good brand but its not cheap. I got my pea coat about 4years ago and I was around 120-150$, I don't remember exactly how much but its lasted me this long and is still in great shape allhumdulilah, probably could last me another 4 years. The coats are huge though, I had to buy an extra small! Buy in store if possible to see if the size fits right.

I don't like Zara but this looks good.

If you have next in USA , try their coats, they look good and work well and last for a while with good shape . Prices varies but certainly not over the top.

I'm not sure what brands are available in your area, try something tried and trusted.

Gucci , Armani and Channel .

according to my wives these are the only brands that are best value as they all come with matching shoes and handbags, and a tranquilliser for the husband.

these brands are like 2000$coats . only a millionaire would own one.

they make really good high end copies these days and it's hard to tell apart, especially for my wives , they cant even see sometimes without their glasses.

have you ever been to those bazaars in Istanbul , Dubai or Phuket , when you get approached by some Indian dude , and he takes you to down some strange laneways , and through some secret passage doors , taps on the secret bullet proof steel reinforced door with a peep hole , then you enter a room , where all the best copiess of everything are kept.

They have such places hidden from the main streets and you'll be surprised at the quality of their copies.

It's like being in the real stores , except that they serve you chai and samosas.

The best copies come from Turkey, they even use the real logos.

I love the replica swiss watches they have these days, they use genuine parts and only an expert can tell the difference with the high end copies.

Are you in Canada or the US? The stores I like the most that carry winter coats would probably be Macy's and The Hudson's Bay Co. They're both department stores that carry an assortment designer brand names and styles. I like that you're able to find many different brands and styles all in one store. If you're buying a coat, a good thing to look for in the label would be a "cashmere/wool blend" coat - the nice thing about these are that they're very warm and insulated without having that extra weight or bulkiness. Plus, they get softer with wear :) If you're looking for a quilted coat, you might want to look at something that has down and feathers. Those are very warm too! Since it's the end of the season you'd probably be able to get these coats for up to 60% off now.

If you're looking for less expensive coats at a slightly cheaper price, you can try Burlington Coat Factory, TJ Max, Marshalls, Winners, etc. They sell brand name styles from the previous season at discounted prices.

Whatever you chose to buy, avoid real fur due to animal cruelty . I would go with the 'north face' or 'tommy hilfigers' . These coats are super warm

I have a Canada Goose,  but i really regret.. I just hope they didn't actually kill the animal and that they just got the fur out of him and let him live after wards

I'll probably sell mine on the internet and buy a cruelty-free coat instead.. I feel bad wearing Hijab and a Canada goose.. People think how cruel can these muslims be !! lol

During the next six weeks it is possible that winter coats should be on sale, because people will be buying light weight coats and jackets for Spring. If you want, you can ask the salesperson when the coats will go on sale. They might give you an idea when the prices would be going down.

There are some very hostile geese out there. I was feeding one at the park once, and it almost bit me. Sometimes hostile animals need to be turned into coats..
