Research Project On Forced Marriages In The Uk

InshaAllah I intend to do a research topic on forced marriages. Although I haven't come up with a concrete title yet, I am doing some research to find out what is "out there"

 

Please if anyone can direct me or if anyone can know where I can get authentic information from please help!

I've been meaning to reply to this (I actually jotted-down some info to mention a few weeks ago, but then my computer rebooted :squeez: ).  But hopefully it will still be useful in some way:

 

 

Your post reminded me of a Canadian professor/researcher I had read about in news articles in the past.  Trying some search terms, I eventually found her here:

I don't know if she has done anything specifically on forced marriages, but she has done a lot of research regarding arranged marriages.  Googling her name and marriage, I found her 300-page M.A. thesis here:

It's a bit old now and I basically only looked at the table of contents and a few pages, but wanted to mention it in case it helps any to provide background info or ideas.

...it looks somewhat like a 20-page version of her thesis, published in a journal.

Also, if you contact her, maybe she would be interested in your topic and might know some info off the top of her head that is relevant for you.  Or maybe she will be interested in your findings when you're finished.
