I am looking for further information -- preferably as a link to or name of a book (with author)-- or lecture -- on the lives of the following members of the blessed Ahlul Bayt:

 

Imam Zayd ibn Ali (as)

Imam Yahya ibn Zayd (as)

Imam Abdullah ibn Hassan (as)

Imam Muhammad Nafs al Zakiyyah (as)

Imam Hassan al Muthanna 

 

I am fascinated by the pattern of the Alawid uprisings against the oppressive rulers from amongst Umayyads and Abbasids which began with Imam Husayn (a.s.) ...

Lots of people are Syed, but they are not Imams of Twelver Shia Islam and not considered part of Ahlul Bayt AS.

I'm aware that Twelvers don't consider these people to be Imams of Ahlul Bayt but I am not a Shia in the 12er sense though I am in the sense that Imam Shafii considered himself one and I love all descendents of the Hasanayn Karimayn and they are thus Ahlul Bayt. It is sad in my view that the Internet has so little information about these great personalities who all gave their lives fighting oppressive rulers just like their great ancestor Imam Husayn

I recommend getting a hold of Sh. al-Mufeed's Kitab al-Irshād for a good work containing a biography of Zayn al-`Abidīn (as). Regarding the other individuals, I cannot help.
