In the name of Allah. Salam.

I was listening to the supplication by Lady Zahra (salamullahi alaiha), DUA e NOOR (the supplication-invocation of light).

I like it best with Mohsen Farahmand's voice.

And my question is, do you know what shia source is this supplication recorded in? Can you give me references?

Also, do you have the English translation for this DUA? Thanks.

Salam Allah upon the infallible 14.

Here is my feeble try at translating the untranslatable Words of Allah via Ahlul-Bayt (as):

Pray of Light via Fatiha Al-Zahra (as)

In the name of Allah, the best (quality-wise) Merciful, the most (quantity-wise) Merciful

In the name of Allah, The Light.

In the name of Allah, The Light of light (small L in 2nd light is intended).

In the name of Allah Who is Light upon Light.

In the name of Allah Who keeps the Universe running (with continuous power supply via The Spirit).

In the name of Allah Who created light from Light.

Praise to Allah Who created light from Light,

And revealed light (Al-Quran) upon the mountain (our Prophet (pbuh+f)),

(Al-Quran is) In a book that is written with structure (Shaf3 and Watr),

In …

While I was translating, brother narsis brought us the translation from duaa.org

Thank you all

Salam

Imam Ali (as) says: Glory to Him Who gave weight to light and darkness (too).

Universe = Dark Energy + Dark Matter + Anitmatter + Matter

Designed with precision,

Upon a Prophet who is made able to read and write.

Praise to Allah Who is Self-Sufficient in the minds of those who can remember (see Quran 7:172),

And Who is Almighty as known to all who can contemplate,

And Who is to be thanked in ALL easy and difficult times,

May He further purify the purified Muhammed and his progeny (see Quran 33:33).
