Why Imam Ali (As) Called His Sons Abu Bakr , Umar

Assalamu alaikum brothers and sisters!

If you look at the history closely, Imam Ali was friends with Abu Bakr, Umar and Uthman.  Imam Ali aided them, and had close ties with them.  Think of the time Imam Ali sent his sons Al-Hassan and Al-Hussein to guard the house of Uthman during the rebellion.  I believe the resentment of the Shia brothers towards Abu Bakr, Umar and Uthman came much later.   Imam Ali also married the widowed wife of Abu Bakr and  Imam Ali loved Muhammad bin Abu Bakr.  There are other examples where you'll find these people were close friends so Imam Ali never hesitated to name his children Abu Bakr, Umar and Uthman.

U shias have a serious problem when it comes to the caliphs & maybe thats y u guys always find a way to complain about them.

Why do shias have problem with that? Have u ever considered that? A person will always have a problem with those who associate slaves with masters

Bismillah.

Salaam.

Aiding others - friend or enemy - was the habit of our merciful Imams like what Imam Ali (p) had done to his own killer (la).

Regarding sending Hasanain (p) to guard Uthmān’s house, there is no sign of love; beside there are great disputes about the authenticity of such narrations and there are great scholars like Allameh Amini (the writer of al-Qadir) who have denied such Ahādīth, there are deep explanation for such actions; Imam Ali (p) had done so in order to avoid accusation of murdering Uthmān and due to some political reasons – as protecting Islam, Muslims and unity among them – Imams were supposed to do something unlike their will. So defending of Uthmān’s house does not indicate necessarily that Imam (p) accepted his caliphate as a legal (Mashruʻ) ruling.

About Asmāʼ bint ʻUmais, I have to say that she was a great Mu’min woman and there is no relation between her religious status with Abu Bakr’s and the same explanation is applicable to her son, Muhammad.

So none of what you’ve mentioned demand any love or even friendship between Imam Ali (p) and caliphs.

Putting your kids life at stake is by no means a small thing brother .... Your views are appreciated but can be argued over

mola Ali also took water for hazrat usman and his family when people stopped water on them ...

Also it was the ahal e bayt including hazrat Ali and HASSAN and Hussain who did the funeral procession and buried the body ....

The fact is no unbiased person can do away with them in a eye wash

JAZAK Allah KHER

Its always amusing to read lame attempts at "munazra" by the clergy of the Sunni brothers. Oh, they named their children after our ideals so we're right! Yeah? Well how about this: People like Mughera ibn Shaba and Abu Huraira were appointed governors and Abdullah ibn Abbas (ra) was Qazi Al-Qaza (supreme judge) of Kufa and there were dozens and dozens of officials from the Sahaba. It also kept the different tribes satisfied to have their elders appointed officials. Umar gave the governorship of Syria to Muawiya to please Bani Umayyah (and unlike others this particular governor was never changed or transferred). In contrast, Imam Ali was never appointed governor or Qazi Al-Qaza anywhere. Nor did he take part in any of Abu Bakkar's or Umar's wars. In fact, the core Bani Hashim team including Hz. Abbas (ra) and his sons were also not given anything. Why such animosity for Hashimis and the Ahl al bayt (as)? THINK.

When Imam Ali was handed the caliphate, his mutawatir words were that he would "return all previously embezelled loot of officials back to the bayt al-maal (treasury) of the people, even if it had become part of the mehr of their women". Was Imam Ali against Sahaba, or were some of them really corrupt? Or is it that all of them, around 0.15 million Sahaba were all immaculate? Or perhaps its just the big three of yours? What fantasy are you people living in. Have you wondered why the immaculateness of the three or the particular wife out of 11 and their close allies are so imperatively critical to Sunni Islam? THINK.

Sahaba like Muawiya, Amr bin Us and so many others, Uthman's son-in-law Merwan (la) and the lady Ayesha SLAUGHTERED sahabis and their kinsmen by the thousands. But the fanatics among you would die for them.

Pity.

Hazrat ammar e yasir and hazrat Salman e Farsi were given governorships of two places as well during his time .... No point criticising bro

Bismillah.

Putting kids' life at stake is not considered as bad if it is by Allah's order like what Imam Husain (p) had done with his family in the day of Ashura.

To give others water is a kind virtue and as I said already Imam Ali also (p) had given his own killer milk.

Attending someone's funeral ceremony never indicate his being right.

Salam Aleykom,

I need to remind you about our duty that Ahlulbait (as) warned us, Imam Reza AS :

If the People know our words virtues (benefits) they will follow us.

This is our duty to tell people from our Imams words - not to fight with Sunnis. No one will accept our words. Lets go back to the ORIGIN of Islam:  Quran and Ahlulbait (as)words...     not our words and dreams and stories.

So, what is this article about???  Why Imam Ali AS named his children Omar... Its is a time wasting for us.

Omar, Abubakr and etc were names. Yazid was a common name.

OUR BIGGEST MISTAKE IS TO COMPARE THAT TIME WITH OUR CURRENT CULTURE.

Every thing has changed.

---------------

I know this is a Sunnis SHOBHA which can be answered in a short sentence:  Our culture is different with them.
