It seems like your understanding of the word 'philosopher' is the same as that of the traditional Muslims scholars. In the Western world, that word doesn't have that same limited meaning. Even al-Ghazali should be considered a philosopher.

You asked the question what do philosophers believe? So I answered with one of the common beliefs.

Aristotilian philosophy as well as golden age philosophy does peak most of my interest..

So what is your point? If I brought up thomas aquinious you wouldn't have said anything??

Everyone is a philosopher...
