Should Shias Perform Hajj While Mecca Is Occupied?

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

Ive been wondering about this for a while now. Should we even travel to mecca and perform Hajj while it is being occupied and administered by people who consider us kaffir, who actively plot to suppress and kill us at every opportunity, who harass and beat Shias performing the hajj and actively prohibit us from performing the hajj according to our traditions?

Should we be spending money to go there and bolster their economy while even the typical Saudi street merchant feels it is his duty to kill as many Shia as possible.

Something about this doesn't seem right.

Discuss.

But just to add, it is not only shias; sunnis as well are harassed and disturbed in the Holy Lands. No Muslim is allowed to perform Hajj as is.

For instance, the Saudi regime does not allow the pilgrims even protest against the Israeli crimes on Palestinians, whereas Hajj al-Akbar means Baraah-Ultimatom to the enemies of Muslims, and there has to be declarations and protests by Muslims against their common enemies. But Saudi "royals" do not allow this very basic pillar of Hajj. Yet, as the brethren stated, Muslims should gather there, no matter what, and they should interact and inform each other personally.

Do we have to stay in this condition until Imam Mahdi as raise?

Why not? As the brothers stated, the Prophet and Imams did perform pilgrimage when even it was under the rule of polytheists of Quraish, or Umayyad and Abbasid hypocrite rulers. They would gather there and interact with Muslims, enjoin the good and forbid the evil, so that Hajj al-Akbar happens one day. They wanted to prepare the ground for the coming of the Imam Mahdi, and I believe as their shiites so should we. InshaAllah :)

Right now, I can not afford it yet because it needs some money.

Maybe someday if i can afford, i can meet with the true Shi'ah of Muhammad SAW and aali Muhammad SAW and prepare for the coming Imam Mahdi as.

I think the issue is that during the mortal life of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), one didn't need to pay the Quraysh to go to Mecca. The Quraysh earned their profits from the trade in the sacred city.

Here, we face an issue where there is no way to go to Mecca without giving money to those in charge of it. It's not like the old days where you just rode in and out on your camel. No matter what you do now, you're going to have to give the Saudi government and other groups who support the Saudi government money. One could argue it's virtually impossible to enter Mecca and leave it with "clean hands."

People should still try to perform the pilgrimage, but perhaps a different approach to the pilgrimage is necessary?

I think most of all things in this world has already occupied by the evil force.

Land...you have to buy/rent if want you want stay/live there.

Air...The corporate/company take it freely to be sold to human (eg O2 for medical, oil/coal combustion to generate electric)

Water ... The co. take it freely and sell it to human in bottle.

Food...you have to buy to conquer hungry.

You can not go anywhere unless you have passport and money of course.

May be someday, The co. will claim your body and you have to rent/buy it otherwise you have to buy O2 in the air to the co. or government.

Are we now in state of evil occupation where the injustice become norm, common sense or worse high moral?
