Ahle Hadith Information

I was recently acquainted with someone who told me that she is "Ahle-Hadith."

I was hoping someone could explain to me how exactly Ahle hadith are different

from Sunnis and what connection they have to 'Wahhabis'?

Ahl-el-hadith are the true followers of the Sunnah! Ahmed b. Hanbal is from ahl-el-hadith. Abu Zara` is from ahl-el-hadith. Ibn Abi Shaybah, "the master of hadith masters" (سيد الحفاظ) is from ahl-el-hadith.

With minor variations, yes.

I think Ahle-e-hadith reject taqleed of the four Sunni fuqaha and instead derive their laws directly from hadith. In other respect they are closer to Salafis. And also more anti-Shia then regular Barelvi Sunnis.

My experience with them has always been unpleasant. The moment you mention Shia they start acting like Nazis who have heard the word 'Jew'.
