I am there too, right at the top, forever, but I don't need to have a number to denote my status.

Irony, the same group that puts these puppets in power, then ranks them according to how well they follow the master plan. Har Har har.

the  72 most powerful people on earth  ? Are the 72 soldiers of Imam Hussain. (as)

They're not physically alive.

At the top is Vladimir Putin, and then Obama.

"Iran's Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution presides over the nation's civil and religious business. The America-hating, nuke-hungry country's top decision maker welcomed a new, supposedly more moderate president, Hassan Rouhani, a contrast in character from his bombastic predecessor, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad."

Forbes is doing a really good job of hiding their bias...

Did Angie Merkel and Xi maje the list?

And what about Wall Street? One of the four cornerstones of American power is bond ratings.

Later Time Note:

Yep, they made it. But this is laughable.

The Poope ?      in the top 5

And it was always said, the Chairman of the Fed was the 2nd most powerful job. But Forbsie has Janet Yellen not only at No.72, but lists her as #72.

^ Hello,

You need to re-visit this Shia Chat forum rule,

"Also note that this site is open for everyone, Muslim or not. Everyone is asked to respect each other as brothers and sisters and respect each others' faith, background and origin. Any attack by anyone towards any of the faiths will not be allowed and would be served by a warning. Muslims are to act as such towards any non-Muslim guests or guests of other faiths. Those of other faiths are to respect this forum and its rules as much as they wish to be respected."

You seem to make it a habit of making racist and disrespectful comments.

All the Best,

David

The language used here seems very academic......

The Pope has over 1.2 billion followers, and it is obligatory for them to obey him. And Merkel made 5th position.

Again, the Chairman of the federal reserve is in 7th position. Look again... Ben Bernanke.

Bernanke is not now currently in the Fed.!

To quote Stalin: "How many divisions does the pope have?"

66David: What "disrespectful" comment? I don't see one in this har thread.

We know you like to play the "outraged provocateur", but you de need some specificity.

Schanze: good point

Maybe your childish word play in reference to the Leader of the Catholic Church is merely a typo.  If so, please correct it or request a Mod/Admin to do so.

Best Regards,

David

Power is psychological & the perception of who is powerful basically comes down to the ability of any party to inflict harm on a whole society. This is why Vladimir Putin is ranked nr 1 , eventhough Russias economy is the size of Italy & why Obama is ranked nr 2 instead of the president of the EU eventhough the economy of the EU is bigger than China & the USA combined.

Real Power has more to do with the ability to incinerate the surface of the earth than the economy. The only 2 nations that can do this today is Russia & the US
