Will Paradise Be Physical Or Spiritual?

Will Paradise be physical or spiritual?

I prefer spiritual. It will give you more freedom like in dreams.

I presume you believe that the vivid descriptions in the Qur'an of the garden with all its promised fruits, of beneath which flows rivers; the rivers of milk and honey; the wide-eyed and well-endowed heavenly maidens; being served with silver dishes and clear crystal goblets; wearing silk; being served by youths who will be as beautiful as pearls; reclining on couches, finding neither excessive heat nor cold; all of it, in your perspective, is ... nothing? Completely intangible? Why would God go to such lengths to describe "spirituality" and "inner peace" in such physically enticing terms? Is that not deceptive?

Because such descriptive language, then, cannot be termed to be hyperbole or metaphorical. It is an outright deception.

The abode of Heaven in the Qur'an will be physical, because our physical body will be raised and restored on the Day of Judgment. And we will be consigned to our determined abode with our physical body.

Its physical. You also believe in the resurrection just as we do. Our bodies with our souls will be resurrected to account for this life. It therefore makes sense if a physical heaven is available for us.

IT can be spiritual. We cannot be certain of this

It's definitely physical, because we are born into this world with a body and a soul. We are tried with our physical body and not with our soul.

So, it would make more sense that we are gonna be physical in heaven and hell, because we are rewarded with what we did with our body.

Hope that makes it clear.

You forgot to mention.

“Trays of gold and cups will be passed round them; (there will be) therein all that inner-selves could desire, and all that eyes could delight in and you will abide therein forever

[al-Zukhruf 43:71]

Al-Sa’di said in his commentary on this verse:

“‘Adn (Eden) Paradise (Gardens of Eternity) which they will enter, under which rivers flow, they will have therein all that they wish. Thus Allaah rewards the Muttaqoon (the pious)”

[al-Nahl 16:31]
