So, to be clear, sunnis and Shia in Iraq gov agreed to :

Stop the Iraqi air force

allow America and its allies to take over the Iraqi air and do air strikes as they wish

allow ISIS to have their own drones without a plan to protect the iraqi air.

Congrats, they finally agreed on something. Everyone can airstrikes the Iraqis except the iraqis themselves. Well done Iraqis, well done.

What are you talking about? That is a cheap $300 drone ISIS used in the attacks of an airbase in Syria.

The Iraqi air force is conducting daily strikes. The Su-25 alone have been through over 500 sorties since their arrival a couple months ago (MoD)

If our government was smart they would tell our stupid militias to shut the hell up and let America deal with the problem. Our airforce is tiny and stretched over the country. Let the world help us.

That idiot Muqtada keeps on ranting about the US. Let their sons and daughters die against ISIS. Why should our shia go and fight them if we don't have to? Because Muqatada said so? He can go fight on the front lines if he wants but I want my family safe and have the US blow ISIS to bits.

They already did. No more airstrikes on cities they say so the incubators are safe now. They celebrated by showering Khadhmyyiah with fireworks and noon could just strike them from air or spy on their whereabouts.

Also, it is not the opinion of Muqtada alone. Marjyyiah announced it last friday that this war should not be made as excuse to reestablish the occupation of Iraq by Americans

It also stated that Iraq needs help from friends.

Abadi is the idiot that pushed for no more airstrikes in cities.

Why don't you want the Americans in Iraq? Every single Iraqi that is opposed to US troops on the ground in our current situation is an idiot. If the offer of US troops came up WHY DON'T WE TAKE IT.

WHY DO WE SEND OUR SONS TO DIE AGAINST DAESH?

You think the US will be in our lands? No they will be in the Sunni cities. Let them kill whoever they want over there. I want our lands safe.

A witness account of an Iraqi soldier who managed to escape from the Daash attack on Saqlawiyah #Iraq http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vmoXWREq17k&feature=youtu.be

(IraqiNews.com) On Monday several Members of Parliament from Diwaniyah Province confirmed that ISIS killed over 300 soldiers using chlorine gas for the first time in Saqlawiyah, north of Fallujah.

Islamic Dawa party MP Ali al-Badri said, at a press conference at the parliament building in the presence of a number of deputies of Diwaniyah province and attended by IraqiNews.com that “the terrorist organization ISIS used chlorine gas for the first time in the region of Saqlawiyah after trapping more than 400 troops, resulting in the deaths of many of them due to suffocation while the terrorist gangs detonated car bombs within the brigade headquarters.”

Badri said, “We hold the full responsibility for the fate of the trapped soldiers to the Commanding General of the Armed Forces, Haider Abadi, and the security leaders, especially the Anbar Operations Chief, Lt. Gen. Rashid Flaih, because of the slow measures taken by the Air Force despite frequent appeals for rapid procedures to rescue the soldiers since several days ago.”

Badri added that the “Saqlawiyah crime is considered as the second Speicher Massacre,” stressing that “300 soldiers were killed in the attack.”

To be honest, an eye for an eye is the only solution for these guys. I don't care if the entire world will be opposed to Iraq using chemical weapons against Da'esh, it has to be done after this. From now on, these guys should have mustard gas, chlorine gas, and every kind of chemical weapons showered on them night and day.

(salam) brothers and sisters

If you want to know how this garbage (ISIS) actions reflects the actions in the past of Bani Umayaa and Bani Abbas, then I highly recommend reading this http://maaref-foundation.com/english/library/pro_ahl/imam12_mahdi/the_life_of_imam_mahdi/18.htm#p219. So many same actions done to oppress the Ahlul-Bayt (AS) and their followers that you can witness the same nowadays.

Ali-F, If my analysis are correct, you are a kid! ie. under 18 maybe even under 16!

So please don't focus on what's happening on Iraq/Palestine/Syria  much. It is not good for you. It has a negative impact, scientifically proven. Which is why in the movies, they rate the movies.

Instead focus on your studies. Really important!!

So that means, don't post updates here, or search the news every hour or so (which is what your posts are suggesting you are doing).

That's my brotherly advice to you. :)

And build not jails but gas chambers for those Takfiris who are caught.

The only solution, in my opinion.

see these "poetic" solutions don't work in real life.

You want Sunni's to respect us? Go in and kill 10 of their people for every 1 of ours. I guarantee you the clan leader will shut his mouth and stop any hostilities from his clan against shia.

Isnt it obvious by now that Mich of the iraqi Army leadership hierarchy is either not loyal to Iraq (probably due to sectarian reasons) or incompetent. The rumour has it that Maliki sold the grade of military general during his premiership to people who had the money & wanted to be general for reasons of pure corruption.

I am not pro muqtada sadr in the least... however the US and UK are NOT to be trusted, think about it for a while. Why didn't they help and bomb daesh when they first took over Mosul several months ago? Why aren't they arming the iraqi military and allowing them to get rid of Daesh? Why has it taken them so long to help? Did they really think that daesh are just going to disappear like a poof of smoke and not cause problems for them? It's obvious that they don't want the iraqi military to have any strength. these bombings by america and the uk will only serve to prolong the conflict and put iraq in a stalemate for the next 50 years (if we're lucky).

The Shia militia and volunteers main task is to protect the shrines and fellow shia, not to take back lands taken over. don't forget that these inhuman savages are hell bent on exterminating shia from the face of the planet, just like in the nazi holocaust.

One thing I don't understand as a military man myself is why you think airstrikes will be a BAD thing? What aspect of them will actually harm the Iraqi army?

the Iraqi Army Aviation (helicopter fleet essentially) is slow to react and the "fast" response from the Iraqi Airforce (Cessnas and SU-25) is very limited through the whole country.

Daesh won't disappear from airstrikes but airstrikes are of great help to weaken their capabilities to advance on Iraqi and Syrian territory. Is that not a good thing? Why are you guys so against the West? Even Iran wants to join forces with the west against ISIS (they are using this as a bargaining chip in the nuclear deal, we help you against ISIS and you guys lift sanctions!)

Inshallah we have a US military presence in Iraq for the rest of times. It is obvious our people can't fight Daesh alone. The longer it takes for us to realise the more of our blood is shed.

Whats the story on Baghdad? They're getting very close to it.

No it isn't.

We had reports 2 weeks ago that ISIS was 1 mile from Baghdad. They aren't true. I have family in Baghdad.

Reports are misrepresenting the facts on ground. Fallujah and ramadi are where ongoing battles are occurring.

Diyala is where the Shia and Army offensive has been focused in the east. Noth is the Tikrit offensive to open the road to Baiji.

The Eastern front is the only on that ISIS can open against Baghdad and there is to much defense there for them to take it. Another thing to consider is the Baghdad airport is on the east side where hundreds of Americans are and 24 Apache helicopters are ready. They have already started combat missions against ISIS.

Baghdad is well out of the reach of ISIS. Their chants of taking Baghdad then Karbala and Najaf are nothing but talk. They don't have the power to take any of these cities as the people don't want them.

I am sure that there are much smarter and dedicated people involved and a think tank dedicated to think and plan against all possible ways that enemy could accomplish their stated goals.

Not that I am a military analyst, or someone who can impact the decision makers in charge of protecting the Shrines. They are using Iraqi military equipment to surprise the Iraqi military( If you are an Iraqi, don't get offended, There are interests beyond Iraqi national interest). I hope there is a no fly zone( Military, and Commercial), so nothing can be mistaken in the skies and antiaircraft batteries around the sites. I know you might say, its a stretch. Never underestimate the enemy. I would not pay attention to the news that powers to be do not see any activity. Miles long columns of pickup trucks entered Iraq without much notice as it was said about the initial invasion (? -highly doubt that no one noticed or was aware of it). Plus an outside enemy can aid ISIS with  sophisticated equipment and abilities or they themselves can  take advantage of the situation( "reported"  Air capabilities of ISIS) and spark a bloody sectarian war.

The saudi king can go and throw himself in the ocean. He doesn't have the brains to even come close to understanding how wise Ayatollah Sistani actually is, let alone comment about it.
