Veteran Member Ali_Hussain 6,042 Posted April 27, 2014 Veteran Member Report Share Posted April 27, 2014 (edited) (salam) If anyone know of any good Youtube channels that show how to make nice dishes, please post them here. 'Mariam Cooks' has some quite nice stuff, both for deserts and main courses, from a range of different countries. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgpksxfN_Cf_E6Is-c6NfPg 'Aussie Griller' is no longer active and a few of the dishes contain pork, but nevertheless, there are quite a few tasty things on there (though more of the 'fast food' variety) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3RZauwPI76bF58m20ZhxHA (Please try to avoid posting channels with 20 minute videos with bad explanations and lots of blabla, thanks) Edited April 27, 2014 by Ali_Hussain Ruq

Sabrina Abbas 43
You know you've kind of given me an idea. Could a hijabi woman do cooking videos? I'm not sure how Islamically ethical that is, but I'd like to try it. I'm interested in South Asian cusine, the more traditional dishes, although I need a really hot oven to do tandori chicken and naan bread..

(wasalam) I'm subscribed to VahChef's channel, but I haven't used any of his recipes yet. As I'm not a very creative person, I find it easier to get inspiration by going through different videos. This channel has some quite nice food: Aashpazi.com https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZXjjS1THo5eei9P_Y2iyKA

I've always wanted to try Somali food, but I have never been into a restaurant, probably due to the fact that I've never seen any other non-Somalis in there.

But there is a special spice mix they use in a lot of their reciepes which you have to make yourself (they have a reciepe on that too) but it is very easy.
