(bismillah)

(salam)

From Al-Kafi:

“Chapter on the prohibition from burning papers with writings (on them)”

From `Abd Al-Malik bin `Utbah from Abee Al-Hasan said: “I asked him about the papers that accumulate, if they (papers) have the remembers of Allaah on them, can it be burned with fire? He said: ‘No, you must wash it with water first’

  • Grading: Al-Majlisi said this hadeeth is SaHeeH (Authentic)
  • --> Mir'aat Al-`Uqool, vol. 12, pg. 582

From `Abd Allaah bin Sinaan said, I heard Abaa `Abd Allaah and he said: “Do not burn the papers, but delete (wash) them, and (then) burn them”

Bismillah.

Salaamun Alaykum wr.

According to Ayatullah Khamenei, you can either to make them as dough through shedding water on them or bury them; but you cannot burn them; this is the Persian answer from his official site:

Tnx @followers...

you said:(quote) "I couldn’t find the fatwa you

mentioned in that book although I

know that fatwa it true."

I think its better to use the fatwa than to indulge myslf into a sinful act..even if its not clear whether its the Ayatollah verdict..

Tnx for the link.

Salamun alaykum

Generally as I searched some fatwas, you can dispense that Quran or papers in a way which is not desecration and disrespecting.

For example you can put them in a river outside city, throw them into a sea, bury them in a clean place, eras the writings on the papers, shredding them and etc.

The main point is to avoid desecration and disrespecting so surely you cannot burn them.
