ISIS offensives across Northern Syria accelerated against other Islamists groups including Nusra Front.

"It seems the repercussions of the Kassab battle have reached the eastern region of Syria, specifically the city of Deir Ez-Zor, where Jabhat al-Nusra supporters accused the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) of taking advantage of Nusra being busy fighting in Kassab to attack Jabhat al-Nusra’s headquarters and centers in Deir Ez-Zor and take control of some towns and villages, in particular al-Busaira, Jadid Okaidat and Abriha, from which Jabhat al-Nusra expelled ISIS a month and a half ago"

ISIS kills Nusra commander and liquidates many Nusra fighters near Deir eZ Zor

Activists claim ISIS executed many of the fighters as they surrendered, While ISIS spokesman posted on twitter that "Sahawat Al Joulani refused to surrender to the will of Allah and were killed, this is the penalty of hypocrites"

Al Nusra Front is currently tied down in Latakia Offensive, which has failed to achieve its strategic goal of surprising SAA troops and advancing towards Latakia city.

Hello Rise or Die,

What is the source of your maps?

All the Best,

David

Hi

They are created by pro-government and pro-opposition activists/journalists/reporters

There is also this wiki map which is updated by the minute by both sides

Observatory 45 is now fully under Government control.

Without hill 45, the rebels/Turks cannot mount any sort of offensive towards Latakia city.

Abu Hamzeh Al-Maghrebi, commander of Sham Al-Islam terrorist group, was killed in fierce clashes in the Northern parts of Lattakia in Western Syria on Thursday.

Al-Maghrebi was a former Guantanamo prisoner who took part in wars of Afghanistan and Iraq.

Behind Enemy Lines

04/04/2014

The Syrian army has managed to free dozens of hostages captured by al-Qaeda-linked groups in the northeastern province of Raqqah.

The Syrian army soldiers, backed by a group of pro-government militia, freed 48 kidnapped soldiers and civilians, some of whom were held over a year, in a daring operation early on Wednesday.

“I am so happy that I am out, but I am happier that no exchange was done for my release and that I was liberated by fellow soldiers and the good people of Raqqah who stand beside our army,” said one of the released hostages.

Raqqah has been under the control of foreign-sponsored militants for over a year.

Right now I am kind of alarmed by another development -- the US / NATO threats of war to Russia over Ukraine. I can sense WWIII coming. All the signs begin to intersect with a time line in very near future. The Christians, as foretold, are going to have their economical backbone broken and yet they will keep returning. And then Sufyani and others uptil, you know who. :)

Hello,

The Christians, as foretold, are going to have their economical backbone broken and yet they will keep returning

Is this in the Quran?  If so, would you point me to the chapter?

Thanks,

David

Hello,

That is what I figured.

Nope its from hadith. A sign of the reappearance. It is foretold that you® nation will lose your wealth as war goes on in Syria but you will stubbornly stay in the fight, and to no avail.

Wow!  It mentions the United States by name?

All the Best,

David

Why do you respond to CLynn/David66? It's only here to provoke.

Not by name but actions. Could have been the UK pre-WWII.

To learn and for amusement.

Same thing imo. They're partners in crime. Especially when [when things get really bad] I expect them all to be there. :)

It seems Hezbo is laying the ground for an imminent withdrawal from Syria. Seems they have blinked first. Saw some headlines (from yesterday) of Hezbo claiming it has helped Assad to win. Another headline with Hezbo saying Assad regime is safe now and cannot be toppled. A third headline along the same lines but Hezbo adding that elections will decide matters now.

A commentor elsewhere said the same that Hezbo may pull out after Qalamoun is secured.

I suppose the rebels would be too busy right now fighting Assad to chase Hezbo into South Lebanon. That for another day maybe...

Edit:

The headlines:

Hezbollah claims it has helped Assad win Syria conflict - The Guardian (1 day ago)

Hezbollah: Assad's regime no longer in danger - Al-Arabiya (12 hours ago)

Syria's Assad secure, will seek re-election - Hezbollah leader - Reuters UK (1 day ago)

Lol, don't get your hopes up.

I'm glad Hezb is helping the Syrian Army kill these sunni/salafi terrorists. Since hezb secured more border areas near Lebanon in Syria, the risk of sunnis/salafis car-bombing south Lebanon is reduced. The only language these terrorists understand is violence.

Jordanian warplanes have hit and destroyed several vehicles trying to cross the border from Syria, a government spokesman said on Wednesday, underlining Amman's concern about incursions from areas controlled by Syrian rebels.

"There was an attempt to infiltrate across the border from Syria by a number of vehicles," said the spokesman, Mohammad al-Momani.

A Jordanian security source said the targets were Syrian rebels in civilian cars mounted with machine guns.

It was unclear whether rebels, who have dominated swaths of territory along Syria's southern border with Jordan, might have been seeking refuge inside Jordan from the fighting with Bashar al-Assad's forces that has raged in the region.

Momani said the kingdom was increasingly worried about infiltration from Syria. "We are worried about cases of infiltration … and reports that talk about armed groups that are close to the border and the absence of security there."

Amman has tightened already firm controls along the 230-mile (370km) border to try to prevent Jordanian Islamist militants who have joined the rebels from crossing back into Jordan. They are seen as a domestic security threat.

Nice tactic by Jordan, allow all your terrorists to leave, kill them if they try to return.
