^Do you think that the army's tolerance has now been exhausted? A full-on army operation does not seem imminent.

In my opinion a "full-on" army operation would be a bad idea, strategically speaking. It's best to take them out using either drone-sniping or carpet bombing. Lesser collateral damage in the former option anyway.

The operation will be advanced in stages. The army will not go full throttle overnight or even in a few days. Now the airstrikes have started and will increase. Come summers and ground forces will start moving. There will be strikes elsewhere too. It is still unclear to which extent the military will go this time. You never know what they are planning. Their previous operations (usually half hearted and in self defence) have failed to produce results. You see there is not only the neo-Taliban (Pakistani Taliban or TTP) in the tribal areas but there exist a veritable nexus of three players: neo-Taliban, Afghan Taliban and Al-Qaidah (made up mostly of foreigners). It is clear that Al-Qaidah and organisations working under TTP umbrella are being attacked. Precisely who will Pakistan army target more and who it will talk with is unclear to me.

A long time US demand to Pakistan has been to take action against the Afghan Taliban (who have not attacked Pakistan so far) and Pakistan has so far refused. Pakistani establishment is hedging its bets for what happens in Afghanistan after the withdrawal of NATO forces. If Taliban run over ineffective Kabul government, Pakistanis want a Taliban who would be friendly to Pakistan. So this old strategic depth policy is still being kept as a spare tyre in case things go drastically wrong. But in my opinion the army policy makers want to end their support to terrorist jihadist groups. They can't do it easily and there is resistance from within the army. So it would be interesting to see how Afghan Taliban respond to the latest offensive,

Asalam Alykum,

This is becoming too much now. I know in the past there has been issues with Shias being killed etc but in this time this is far too much specially from what I heard about Syria, Iraq etc. But who can we trust except Imam e Zamana (A.S.)? This seriously needs to be dealt with. They are killing everyone that has value or education. They are doing what Firon did. There must be planners behind this. Its a decentralized group. They are tactical. They make cold, calculated decisions.

I have respect for our Martyrs. Look at this man. He wasn't in a lavish vehicle. Rather using a rickshaw. May Allah grant him Jannatul Firos. What a great man. Alhamdulillah.

Ma'Salam.

Ma'Salam.

Why dont the pakistani shias create a militia that can protect the community against the terrorists? If this is not possible, maybe the best thing is to evetually migrate to Iran, Azerbaijan or the west? But then again, that would be exactly what the terrorists wants..

This cancer was tolerated for far too long.

Its not possible for any temporal authority that currently exists on the global canvas to eliminate this cancer. Only the naive believe that the army will 'eliminate' them and end this drama. They won't. Even if they launch full blown operations they will be stopped somehow at some point and the situation will return to square one, like it was.

"Kashmir fatah honay tak udhar bund hay" has been superseded by "Dehshatgardi khatam honay tak udhar bund hay". Na Kashmir fatah ho saka na hoga or na hi dehshatgardi. Terrorism is here to stay. I recommend people make adjustments accordingly instead of having fools' hope in the same authorities that have always failed us and who are merely the other hand of the same body from which this terror organ emanates.

Asalam Alykum,

In regards to the Militia option mentioned above, though it is a good idea and logical as well; you must keep in mind that the attacks are calculated and seems like the victims are under close watch. If you look at all the killings, it is a pattern. Every person, even with a chaotic mind follows a pattern. But a militia are a group based at a location where as this is decentralized. They are basically mimicking the strategy used by Vietnamese during the Vietnam war but they are targeting civilians. You must keep in mind that civilians are not part of any war and under Islamic law, even cattle of the enemy's working men is prohibited (as established during the battle of Khaybar). The only way is for Shias to arm themselves but then there is so much corruption is Pakistan. Many people do not want to get involved in the chaos. What they don't realize is that Harrah happened because people weren't getting involved.

I will now go and do Salah of Wahasat e Kabar for the Allama as I have just returned home :).

Ma'Salam.

Because Pakistani Shia's are:

1) Divided (Inshallah will be united)

2) Not located in one area like our brothers in Lebanon or Iraq

3) Financing

4) not that many people would actually join

5) Might be blamed for inciting a civil war

It says Qari Syed Sadaqat Ali in the video. The news report names Qari Ali Hassan and his son. Do note that Ali Hassan was not a Shia but in fact a Deobandi (Wahhabi) who ran a madrassah.

Yes, terrorism isn't going to be eliminated soon, in the proper sense of the word. There is no force in Pakistan with a singular bent of mind that wants to end this terrorism come what may. The army will always make compromises, just like they did in the past.

Army is not a monolith and there's a big and influential chunk of middle level officers who harbour jihadist militarism of the Taliban kind. I know a family whose retired colonel father forced his serving major son to resign from the army when Swat operation was launched. Why? "How could you kill your own Muslim brethren?". Yes, these Talib pigs are "brethren" to the Wahhabi beardos.

The roots run too deep and the Jihadist ideology our military cultivated as a matter of political exigency since '79 has let lose a monster which will not be subdued any time soon.

Brother that morale problem, "killing 'muslim brothers'" has been actually overcome to my knowledge. To a moral certainty, I even know about the details of the material circulated among all the army personnel to this end back in 2006, and it was about Kharijiites and contained ahadith from sahah sittah about the vileness of them.

The real problem is the politicians, all of them, from all parties, who have basically handed over most of the control to the West and have sold out. This military response in the form of air raids and the dialogue option before it as well as other plans many yet to be put in motion, all that you see now is simply due to circumstance or chance. It is primarily because the CoAS + CJ team is gone. They were both sell outs and worked like cheap [Edited Out]s. The wahabi Saudi and its creator and lord and master, the West, are the richest customers you know.

We should pray for the health and well being of people like the current CoAS. The army has to deal very precisely with Nawaz Sharif and his pro-Wahabi pro-terrorist regime. Of course such answers won't ever make it to the news outlets but all this you have seen so far or might see in the future is because of the army. But that is not to say that they will save the day. Another change of pawns on the chess board and things are liable to get a hell lot worse. I would expect that incoming Harra like someone mentioned if for example this CoAS dies with a heart attack.

However, if circumstance and the situation on the chess board stays in favor of the nation then the military will wipe the floor with these jackals' innards.

Allama Taqi Hadi Naqvi held a position at the Board of Secondary Education Karachi, and headed the education department of Jafferia Disaster Cell. He took over when Ustad Sibte Jaffer was martyred.

May Allah's curse be with the killers, and may they and their supporters meet the end quickly and with lots of pain.
