Ever heard of Jake Neuman? He's an anti-Islamist, not a very famous one. He's written a book against Prophet Muhammad (pbuh):

After looking at the book, I've concluded this individual isn't worth my time, yours or anyone with half a brain.

We shouldn't give such individuals the attention they crave.

Okay, stopped trying. Seriously, who is dumb enough to deliberately misquote and alter an actual passage of a Sacred Text and then publish book? Well, apparently this fella called Jake Neuman is... I'd like to know which translation he used because the one he is giving is inaccurate and contains words that are not even in the actual verses he's citing.

Yeesh what an overhyped maniac, just overdone hyperbole and shock effect for the most part. I don't know why you need another muslim to refute this for you? Especially on the acid attacks bit, could be making a lot of cash out of this like the rest of the anti islamist industry. There's nothing original when it comes to the Quran and nabi Muhammad as well, same stuff you can find on your average anti muslim website that has already been refuted by the likes of letmeturnthetables.com and http://www.call-to-monotheism.com/

 

Oh and I think this is the ideal time for me to make a commentary on honour killings (seeing as I know insider information about the reasons behind them). These dimwits, if they really cared about these victims, would go to the root cause of this problem which is a secular one; which is why it is an international crime that is done by indian hindus and Sikhs as well (and Mexicans not too long ago). Honour is a secular value just like property, in other words it exists regardless of what religion you hold. Those who do honour killings don't differentiate between pre-marital sex and adultery, whilst in Islam the punishment for pre-marital sex is 100 lashes (Quran 24:2); think about that, losing your own virginity wont merit death! These guys even kill for something as light as flirtation, that is because they don't care about religion and care more about what society thinks of them. Which is why they're called 'honour' killings in the first place, the perpetrators can be atheists for all you know. From my own homeland Iraq my dad would tell me stories about guys who do this, theyre sunk in the worst machismo culture ever. Basically they would boast when their sons fornicate because its 'manly' and they don't care its haram. When my dad would tell them its a big sin they'd tell him "khellee ildeen illek" (Keep religion to yourself). Whilst when their daughters do zina...all hell breaks loose. The fact that fornication is haram for both genders in Islam is what differentiates religion from these guys. It's also why not only is a man punished with 80 lashes for falsely accusing a woman of adultery, but vice versa also. The maqsad (objective) behind that punishment is the protection of 'ird (honour), and it applies to both genders falsely accused because zina is dishonourable regardless of whether its a man or woman. And that's the only honour the sharia recognises, the one lost from impure sex...not trivial things like flirting or rejecting an arranged marriage.

 

We should be mindful of God and avoid haram out of awareness of God's presence (taqwa), not because of what society might think of us.

Is there any point that you feel uncomfortable about due to lack of knowledge that that book brought up?

The only time you get annoyed by a fool is when you cannot refute him yourself, if that's the case then better ask the questions here to mend that defect in your knowledge , I am sure brothers will be glad to help. Finding that that book was refuted will only create pseudo sense of security that is temporary .

Well, the reason I discussed him here was that I searched for someone who has refuted Jake Neuman but I found none.

Oh, no, I can also refute that book and it's better to check up whether it's already done or not. It's also better for a pro to deal with it.

I don't think it is possible to be refuted entirely due to the Sunni-centric treatment. 

 

Just do a cursory reading of the first few pages, and look for yourself how many references to Sunni Hadith/Fiqh collections there are. We don't need to refute these books, but they are so powerful because 85% of the Ummah reveres these as second to the Quran.

 

The Quranic verses have been done to death on this site, so if any verse worries you, just read.

 

Edit: Let us be honest, there are so many repulsive hadith/fiqh in Sunni Islam, the proof being anti-Islamic sites which are pasted with camel urine hadiths, Prophet Mohammad killed poet hadiths, Aisha telling Prophet Muhammad he is making up ayat hadiths, etc. Sunni doesn't have any answers, and as it is said in Computer Science, garbage in, garbage out. The Islamic crimes and extremism that fuel Jake Neuman-type people are primarily Sunni-derived.

I am shocked & disgusted by this so called author Jake Neumann. I am a white, British revert & I have been given the best blessing that Allah could ever give to a western raised human. Which is The Truth. To affiliate Allah’s name next to any other word that is beautiful HAS to be the gravest sin.

May that sin be rewarded in his next life. How very little does that ignorant man know. I am deeply offended
