How Duas Are Accepted 100%

Adab of Dua(Methods of Dua) or how you supplicate so that is accepted by God Almighty.

 

Here is the list:

1)search for the right time, there are very important times for supplication(Dua), like the night of Thursday, Friday, Day of Arafah, Month of Ramadhan, in the morning(after morning prayer), Nights of Qadr, etc.

 

2)search for holy and pure sites and places, like holy mosques, Masjid al-Haram(the Holy Mosque), Holy Shrines of Imam Ma'someen, especially Haram/Shrine of the Holy Prophet(s) and the Shrine of Aba Abdillah al-Hussain; the acceptance of Dua in Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain is guaranteed in traditions, Haram of the sons and daughters of Imams, etc. 

 

3)during Nuzul of Rahmah, while God's mercy is bestowed upon us, like during rain and snow and ... between Adhan and Iqama, after Wajib Salaat(five obligatory prayers) and ... are states in which responding(Istijabat) of Dua is very close

 

4)wearing pure clothes during supplication, tahir, good smell etc.

 

5)having Wudhu(ritual purity)

 

6)facing the Qibla is one of Adab(etiquette) of Dua

 

7)begging like beggars towards God, keeping up the hands to the sky, while supplicating

 

8)praying with humbleness and piety

I have experienced that whenever I have cried while beseeching God, albeit this has happened less times in my life than I can count on the fingers of my hand, I have found IMMEDIATE and unimaginably powerful, fate altering results. It is my longing and desire to visit the Shrines as well, one day, since I find it quite difficult to cry for even a change of fate and there are a few things I have that await His intervention. And there are respects waiting to be paid.

Part II of the list:

9)Make the Dua whole-heartedly, convinced that God has seen you and listens to your voice and after making Dua grants you your Hajat(wish).

 

10)Never be tired of making Dua and being insistent, and keep on asking your Dua insistently.

 

11)Before starting the Dua, remember God’s blessings(Ni’ma) to you and then recognize your sins towards Him and repent for your sins.

 

12)Cutting one’s hope from enyone, except for God and having no hope with anyone except for God and knowing that no one is capable of giving your Hajat but only if God wishes is one of the condictions.

 

13)The clothing and food of him must be halal(Islamically allowed, i.e. not stolen and not haram), as one of the most important conditions of responding to Dua is halal provision.

 

14)Commiting sins is one of the reasons why Duas are not responded.

 

15)During supplication make sure you mention your Hajat specifically and don’t say “God knows what is in my heart and therefore I am not saying it”. 

 

16)During supplication don’t only make Dua for yourself, but also mention others in your Dua

 

17) Weeping during Dua is one of the major conditions of Dua.

 

18)Don’t make delay in supplicating until one is in trouble, instead always make Dua, even if you don’t have a certain wish and keep requesting from God.

 

If you follow the above advice, you will reach your goals faster, God willing.

I think anyone making claims of a dua getting 100% accepted need to consider the following:

 

There are dua's which are not accepted since it is not good for us. Allah swt himself tests us and so naturally we can not do dua's against the tests.

 

There are many problems with holding such a belief.

I have only experienced two times in my life where in salat or in du'a that I was overcome and began to cry.  It was like nothing I have ever experienced otherwise, and I also often find it difficult to cry.  When I read about the mercy of Allah (s.w.t) I often feel it coming on, but those two times- like you said less than I can count on the fingers of my hand- were more powerful than anything I have ever felt.  Subhanallah!

I have been paying for years with humbleness. Sometimes I lose faith in hope of my prayer getting answered, sometimes it comes back. Whatever happened, my prayer had not yet come to be answered.

I just wish that what the original poster said would be true. But there is no such thing as magic words......

I think it's best to have the attitude that whatever happens is for the best. What is certain is that Allah has heard your prayer, but it is up to Him when and how to answer it, which of course He does in His infinite Wisdom. We might think that it would be great if there was a way of getting exactly what we wanted when we wanted it, but obviously we don't know what's best for us, not to mention that two people might have conflicting needs. The most important though is to not make faith conditional on the dua being answered (as hard as that is sometimes). Just be grateful for all the things Allah has given you, and have faith that He will give you what is best, either in this world or the next.

Well another thing we must consider is that God can answer my prayer even though it's "bad for me" and make it good for me.

I have a serious question though. Even ISIS pray with Suratal Fatiha, but are they guided to the straight path? Is everyone who recites Suratal Fatiha sincerely hoping for guidance going to be guided?

 

Or when Allah says if he calls upon me require his recognition of his light which makes of the right morality?

 

The link that Haydar Husayn linked to is one interpretation but in light of the fact we know many bad people prayed with Suratal Fatiha and didn't get guidance...can it be said this is not really the true interpretation of that verse.

Most people that read surah al-Fatiha are simply going through the motions. I doubt they are making a sincere prayer for guidance. And then of course, some people may receive guidance, and reject it.

I think we have to have a good view about Allah and his will, for us to be calling upon him. I think the problem with many people is that they worship a God that is not worthy of worship.  This is why Quran emphasized on calling on his beautiful names and made representatives who embody those beautiful names to be recognized and hadiths say Allah is worshiped through the Imams.  I think Salah when we do Ruku before Sujood it means we have to recognize and respect the true greatness of Allah and not just call him great while attributing him all sorts of evil. I also think when his word is made highest in the soul is when the true light is recognized and that is when we can do true Sujood. It's only when recognize the greatness of his true morality that we are calling upon Allah. This is my view and a person who calls upon the true Allah is a lover that get's whatever he wishes for.

The best words for du'a are ahlulbayt words. They are not only good supplications but also good study and good spiritual guide. It is not necessary to reach perfect imaan to be granted a prayer. Allah is more generous and more merciful than that. In Quran we read the verse about the disbelievers who were on boat in middle of storm in middle of sea, they called upon Allah sincerely because it is fitrah, so Allah answered them and saved them. When they reached safety Quran says that they denied Allah favor upon them and turned mushriks. Shirk in this case can mean many forms of denial , for example, they might had said that they survived due to their skills or due to the great technology or mere luck etc.

Allah grants us gifts and answers our prayers as a way to call us to him, make us love him, make us recognize his mercy. Most humans were made into complete healthy humans out of unstable zygote. The embryo genesis process alone is worth of endless thanking to Allah. Science cannot tell how we made it safely , it is wondrous.

Allah gave us health, intellect, a bread to eat, a roof to cover us, a company or family, kids and beloved partner, beauty , skills, talents, safety, imaan, good sight, good hearing, complete limbs, brothers to help us, mercy between believers , mercy from parents upon their children, a soothing nature, delightful scenes on earth, delightful scenes in skies......as Quran says, we will never be able to calculate the gifts of Allah .

Yet, Allah said never stop asking me for more for my stores have endless bounties . Mean while we should not forget to thank him for the ongoing visible bounties and non visible ones. We don't know how many harms Allah has protected us from, how many flaws Allah has covered etc. Prophet was asked, why do you pray too much that your feet are swollen from standing while Allah has forgiven you all your sins, prophet answered : so shouldn't I be a thankful servant?. Indeed Quran says verily if you thanked me I'll give you more.

One of my favourite du'as is the du'a of iftitah:

O Allah, indeed Your forgiveness of my sins

and Your overlooking my faults

Your pardoning my oppression

Your hiding my ugly deeds

and Your forbearing my many wrongs

done intentionally or unintentionally

tempted me to ask from You

what I did not deserve from You

which You (still) gave me out of Your Mercy

provided me by Your Power

and made known to me from Your answers.

So I became habituated to call You trustingly

and ask You familiarly

neither fearing nor scared

but with confidence in You for what I intended

Then if there was a delay (in Your answer)

I would blame You, due to my ignorance

and perhaps the delay was best for me

for You know the outcome of all affairs.

I have not seen a more generous master

patient with a wretched slave than You are with me

My Lord, You call me and I turn away from You

You show affection to me and I show hatred towards You

You display Your love for me and I do not respond

as though I am above You

But this does not prevent You from having mercy on me

being good to me

and favouring me, through Your Generosity and Nobility

so please (continue to) have mercy on your ignorant slave

and be kind to him through the excellence of Your Grace

Those who disbelieve in Signs of God or those who attribute evil to God or those who disbelieve in guidance of God, God says he doesn't guide such people, and says he doesn't guide an unjust people.

I think the verses about people praying to God sincerely, to him is the religion, of the boats, is about the oppressed community of believers, that Prophets come to save and then when they make to safety, the community tends to then turn to Shirk.  He responded them to before because they were sincere in their call, like Bani-Israel was.

Bani-Isreal than associated in God first in his divinity but also with his obedience later when rejecting Prophets.

The same is true of nations of before, but God didn't go into details. He rather summarizes, they are sincere when it trouble and oppressed, and facing all sorts of troubles, then when God delivers them from the oppression of disbelievers, begin to show him his signs, they tend to turn ungrateful after that, despite calling Allah sincerely before that and being sincere to him in his religion.

The Quran also says to polytheists, if they were in such trouble, they would forget everyone they pray to aside from God, but pray to God alone, and then God would respond to them.

There is hadiths that God doesn't answer a prayer of a heedless heart.

Among the adaab (etiquettes) of Dua is presence of mind. Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: “Allah Ta’ala does not accept the dua of a servant which comes from an unmindful heart.”

Among the requisites for acceptance of Dua is halaal food. Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said to Sa’d (radhiyallahu anhu): “Make wholesome your earning, Allah will accept your Dua.”

It has also been narrated: “Dua is the key of need, and its (the key’s) teeth are lawful morsels of food.”

Hadhrat Nabi Musaa (alayhis salaam) passed by a man who was making dua with much humility. Hadhrat Musaa (alayhis salaam) said: “O My Allah! If I had the power, I would have fulfilled his need.”

Allah Ta’ala revealed to him: “I am more merciful to him than you. However, he calls to Me while his heart is attached to his sheep. I do not answer the call of a servant who calls Me while his heart is attached to something besides Me.”

Hadhrat Musaa (alayhis salaam) informed the man of this revelation. He then denuded his heart of his wealth, and his Dua was accepted.

Someone asked Hadhrat Ja’far Saadiq (rahmatullah alayh): “What is wrong with us? We make dua, but why is our dua not accepted.”
Hadhrat Ja’far Saadiq said: “Because you call someone whom you have not recognized.”
