Although it should be noted, these seem to be lectures at the level of khaarij (highest stage of studies within the hawzah), so one shouldn't approach them like your average online lecture.

Yeh I find that odd too.

 

Makes me wonder if it is even him, could be one of the Iranian scholars. I would assume his duroos in Najaf al-ashraff would be in Arabic.

It's extremely odd. Maybe it's not a Bahth, but some extra-cirricular lessons that he gave for a group of students.

Why would this be odd? Farsi is the Sayed's mother tongue and as the hear-say goes in Najaf...he gives Bahth to, like, his sons and grandchildren who obviously all know Farsi (probably as their first language, too).

This record properly in the early 70s where Imam Sistani was mid-age, lecturing a preliminary stage in (Usul Fiqh) and almost his junior students where only "Persians"
