Salam ,

I'm very glad to hear his Eminance Sayyid Sistani (may Allah(s.w.a) continue to guide him and bless him and prolong his life) speak out directly against this cult. I think now all the prominent figures amoung our Shia ulema and mujahedeen (with a few exceptions) have spoken out again that guy, Mr. MI6.

Maybe now our Sunni brothers and sisters will realize that this guy is a cult leader like David Quraish or Jim Jones and he doesn't speak for the followers of Ahl Al Bayt(a.s) just as those guys mentioned don't speak for the Christians. The basis of the teaching of Ahl Al Bayt(a.s) are love and respect for our brothers and sisters in Islam. Full Stop.

this cult

A ShiaChat moderator of all people should know that it's against the rules to slander a scholar.  Also, you have no evidence that he runs a cult.  Please define a cult and prove how Yasser al-Habib and his followers constitute such.

mujahedeen

What Shi'i mujahideen are you referring to?  Hezbollah?  Basij?  What do they have to do with this at all?  Mujahid is not at all related to a mujtahid.

Mr. MI6.

Evidence??
I've never even heard someone refer to him as being part of MI6.  MI5 is a common accusation, but never MI6.  Do you confuse the two?

David Quraish

Don't think a person by the name of David Quraish exists.  Are you referring to David Koresh?

brothers and sisters in Islam.

I'm sure Abel had a lot of respect for his brother Cain.

Brother Abu Hadi, your post was an epic fail.  I am not a fan of Yasser al-Habib and I respect Sayed Sistani's (qas) rebuke of him, but you really need to gather some evidence before you make such outrageous claims.

I don't think that this fatwa is about habib, the date says 14 Muharram 1428, that was nearly 6 years ago, shiachat had not yet made him into a celebrity, I doubt sayed Sistani even knows who he is.

It is against Shiachat rules to slander a Marje. At a stretch you could argue it is against the rules to slander a scholar. I dont think YH falls into the category of scholar. Putting a Imamah on your head and growing a long beard doesnt automatically grant you a badge of scholarship

Gaining the approval of a Marja3 (Sayed Sadiq al-Shirazi) and being granted the right to wear the 3mamah does, however, make you a scholar.

I don't think you fall into the category of marja3 so you don't get to determine who is a scholar and who isn't.

I follow Grand Ayatollah Reza Hosseine Nassab and while I do not condone everything Yasser al-Habib is saying in his lectures.

He does seem like a man who does know history quite well.

I go with Agha Khameni and Agha Makarem Shirazi view points. I think you might find that they do have view points of who is worthy of the title of scholar. Nevertheless the Shiacahr rules expressly forbid slandering Marje not scholars. YH and his ilk definitely don't fall into that category

Seem is the operative word. The devil is one of Allahs most knowledgable creations does that make him worthy to follow

Many maraji' cast doubts on Khamenei's marijiyyat.  How can a marja3 that is in doubt be used as proof for who and who is not a scholar.  I would take Shaikh Makarem Shirazi's advice very strongly, however.  I disagree with him.  Look at the man in my avatar.  Now look at Yasser Habib.  Look back at me.  Do I look like the kind of person that would support Yasser Habib?  I'm merely saying that it is not your place to say if somebody is a scholar or not and it is certainly not Abu Hadi's place to make up lies against Shaikh Yasser Habib without any evidence whatsoever.

This oft qouted many Marje cast doubt on Khameni's Marjiyyat. Since you have said many I challenge you bring 5 Marje with written doubt. Not hearsay.

Since you accept Ayatullah Makarem Shirazi word. Perhaps you would like to take very seriously his words that either YH was mad or an agent of the west.

There are 2 ways to support someone . Either by supporting them by  an action or to remain silent when they do wrong. Is it not one of the many lamentations of the Shia that to many 'sahaba' remained silent or refused to take sides during the early times

To blindly pluck names out without proof and then say ask them is ridiculus. You made the accusation you should now furnish the proof

You can't be serious. You're taking a random site's opinion about one of the top scholars?

I didn't say you liked or supported him, Isiah. You don't need to get so defensive. Just don't call a mad man like Yaser a 'sheikh'.

Just because I take his opinions to heart does not mean I support him when he lies on fellow Muslims.

Yasser Habib isn't doing anything wrong.

I did furnish the proof.  If you don't like what I furnished, you can leave me alone.  I provided everything that I need to provide.  Now either leave or come up with your own proof that Yasser Habib is an agent, doing haraam, etc.  You make all of these accusations but haven't furnished an ounce of proof.  Instead of attacking my evidence as week, you better start working on finding your own.  You can't even furnish weak evidence.

You can't be serious. You're taking a random site's opinion about one of the top scholars?

I am being perfectly serious.  Now, where is that proof about all the lies you've claimed about Yasser al-Habib?

I didn't say you liked or supported him, Isiah. You don't need to get so defensive. Just don't call a mad man like Yaser a 'sheikh'.

You still have not provided any evidence that he is a mad man.  Until you can prove that Sadiq al-Shirazi (ra) is not qualified to determine who is a Shaikh, I will continue calling him as such.  Until you can prove that Yasser Habib is an agent, I will refuse to call him as such.

Any evidence whatsoever?  Even a tiny bit of evidence?  At all?  Just a tiny bit?

Calling him an agent and a mad man.  You have no evidence yet, therefore it's a lie.  Unless you somehow have some evidence.  I don't know why you're so unwilling to furnish it, though.

Have you even watched any of his retarded videos? Let me know if not and I can help you with some.

Yeah, I have.  I've also seen Kamal al-Haydari say some "retarded" things but you don't see me calling him names or making up things about him.

Happy to furnish it, see below. Where did I call him an agent exactly? Even if I did, I would be accepting the words of the top scholars of Shia Islam. We were talking about the fact that he's no 'sheikh', you're being a bit dramatic for some reason.

No sensible person, let alone a Muslim, let alone a scholar, would use such immature and filthy language.

You have no evidence yet, therefore it's a lie.

And by the way, what kind of logic is that Mu'lam? Everything is a 'lie' till proven otherwise?

Many people pose as main stream Shias but are in fact YH supporters. They try and give legittimacy to scum like YH. But of course the only reason that YH can get away with this filth is that he is the Son in law of Sayed Mujtaba Shirazi.

Last vid clip I saw of Sayed Mujtaba Shirazi was of him spewing hatred for Khameni. sort of says it all

I did furnish the proof.

pathetic you just posted a link to another website that had an article with no proof. Proof please

Rough translation:

Subject: Abusing the Sahaba and the wives of the Prophet(pbuh)

Question: AsSalamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu, a video of a group of people from the region of al-'Adhamiyyah(1) engaging in abusing (sabb) 'Umar and 'Aisha, etc during a procession of the death of al-Imam al-Jawad(as) has spread on social networks(2).

Is this action(3) condemned by the top religious scholars (maraji'), especially because it deals with abusing the religious figures of our Sunni brothers and this can create fitnah between Iraqis (and also between) Muslims?

ANSWER: This action is condemned and extremely reprehensible and goes against what the Imams of Ahl al-Bayt(as) ordered their Shias.

*Notes:

1=al-'Adhamiyya is an Iraqi city name after Abu Hanifa

2=ie twitter, facebook, etc

3=Abusing the Sahaba and particular Abu Bakr, 'Umar, 'Ai'sha, etc

[URL Edited]/index.php?showtopic=20707

this fatwa is only days old! totally kills YH and his ways. big time.

Not liking this one bit.

I don't agree with this whole thing about respecting the Sunni Sahabas (who were mostly oppressors of ahl al bayt) and some of the disobedient wives of the Prophet. Why do the Shias care more about Sunnis perception of us than the truth/haqq? Why do you think we need to sugarcoat our (Shia) faith so it doesn't offend anyone?

Its not sugar coating. Would you kindly be the one take charge and go to Sunni mosque and say all the "Huq" about Sahabas.

We all know damn well you got no guts to speak, just sit behind a keyboard and keep repeating the same stuff. Just because you can't keep your emotions in check, not only will you get yourself hurt, this will lead to further damage Shia cause. YH talks the most yet has never stepped in front of Wahabis since he knows what will happen.

There is right time for everything. Shias are being attacked from every direction, so its for our own protection.

Shias claim that their faith is based on the teachings of the Ahlul Bait. Ayatullah Seestani has quite clearly stated that this behavior is not inline with the teachings of the Ahlul Bait.

In fact abusing and cursing your 'enemies' is the Sunnah of Maoviya. So tell me whose Sunnah are you following. I see you are interested in exposing hypocrisy and double standards. When was the last time you went to a Sunni mosque and cursed and insulted the Sahaba or are you a armchair jihadist. (hypocrit)

So what if YH has not stepped in front of Wahhabis.

Has Khamenei or Sistani stepped in front of Wahabis? No they haven't. They have fierce "bodyguards" to protect them. According to your logic, these noble men must also be coward   because they communicate via indirect channel/pen/keyboard/ whatever?

The point I was trying to make is you are free to do whatever it is you think is the best method for you. But you have no right to tell someone else what he can or cannot do.

Yassir Habib doesn't follow Sistani. So I dont' see why he would be taking interest in whatever it is on Sistani's website.

Your question on what behavior is inline with the teachings of ahl al bayt is very hard to answer. If we are honest to ourselves, we will always find examples in our life or someone's else life that are not inline with the teaching of ahl al bayt.

My motto is always: People should stop having these double standards.

The fatwa is not for YH its for those immature fools who think its ok to go follow scum like YH. Question is what influence do real leaders and Marje have on you.

i am not talking about peoples double standards , i am talking about your double standards. You seem to be saying I am not following the Ahlul bait on many other things so I choose not to follow them on this issue as well. More fool you because you are then by default accusing the Ahlul Bait of double standards.

You are supporting Moaviya because at least he was honest by cursing and condemning Imam Hassan (as) for making peace with him .

Yeah you stick to your line so called Shia of Ahlul Bait

I presume at some stage in your life you went to Madrassah and learnt the Furoo-e-Deen which encapsulates the teachings of the Ahulul Bait.

Enjoin the good

Forbid the bad

As I said you are a classic case of following the Sunnah of Maoviya

No one can claim that they are only being influenced by a single person. You and everybody else are influenced by many people, some dead and many alive.

From your post, i think you are only picking up on things that resonate well with you. You dislike YH for using bad language when he talks about Sunni personalites. But I think you should also check what you are saying. Do you think it's okay for you to use these slurs, bad nickname and bad language against YH? If it's okay for you to use on a fellow Shia then why cant YH uses his bad language on oppressors of ahl al bayt.

This is the double standard that I wanted to point out.
