Cnn Manipulates Iranian President Over Holocaust

CNN chief correspondent Christiane Amanpour in her recent interview with Iranian President Rouhani asked him about the 'holocaust' and whether he recognized that it took place. Iran's responded by saying he's not a historian and that such dimensions should be dealt with by historians. Instead of reporting what Rouhani actually said, CNN and Amanpour quoted Rouhani as referring to the "dimensions of the holocaust." CNN later again falsely translated Rouhani's words when citing him as saying "Any criminality against the Jews, we condemn." The translations were later copy and pasted on regime-licensed news sites such as The Telegraph and Reuters.

Holocaust: Although Iran's official stated policy is not in denial of the suffering of Jewish people during World War II, Jewish suffering represents a fragment of the total casualties of World War II with a total death toll of 60 million.  Therefore, Iranian presidents have consistently stated that they condemn all crimes which have been carried out in World War II and its aftermath. This 'Iranian narrative' includes the killing of gypsies, socialists and other innocent civilians, who had also been mass murdered by 'allied forces' such as the United States and Great Britain. The term holocaust is not officially in use, mainly because it was utilized in the creation of the State of Israel as part as a post-war propaganda effort. In addition and more generally, Iranians believe it delineates Jews as a special group and elevates their suffering over other civilians from other groups during the conflict.

I think he later clarified what he said in another news interview (I'm thinking it was on NBC News). He did accept that the holocaust did indeed happen. The only difference I saw was in the statement Rohani made in Iran and the other statement he made when he was giving interview in the US. Since he did give many interviews, no point in delving on one interview where he may have been misinterpreted or mistranslated.

This shows how disconnected the U.S. media is from the American people. While the U.S media, including CNN is still obsessed with the "Holocost" and try to stick it into almost every news story, the American people are really, really tired of this and most know it is a obvious ploy to gain sympathy for Israel and for Israel to loot more U.S taxpayer money. If you mention the 'Holocost' to a non jew, most couldn't care less about it, and couldn't care less whether Iranian leaders deny it or not.

I used the incorrect spelling because everytime it is mentioned, it 'costs' us money, as U.S taxpayers.

To be fair, CNN is not the only one who is obsessed about Holocaust. The last president of Iran, for reasons known only to him and his advisors, was supremely obsessed about the Holocaust.

The CNN and the other medias in America have been recently questioning Rohani because his predecessor made Holocaust into an issue which shouldn't be in the first place. Details doesn't matter much, and I think Rohani did learn eventually. That's why you can see some differences in his answers (answer given in Iran vs the answer he gave in the US).
