the difference is al qaeda was not invited into syria the iranian armed gangs

were and are being armed to the teeth anyway even with thousends of them

armed to the teeth it doesnt seem to be going well for them or iran.

saudia and qatar should let syrians decide for syria...

I doubt if syrians are against assad, because as we saw "Mubarak" former egyptian dictator with army that was supported by US was not able to stay in power for more than 3 month, but it's about 3 years that all arab kings, US, france and turkey are supporting militant powers against goverment in syria but the current syria's position shows that many people are defending their country against foreiners and Al-gaeda troops

Even though I dont wish the rebels to succeed in Syria.

I got a bad feeling they will, because the Syrian government is outnumbered with the west AND most sunni nations against it.

So its only a matter of time when Assad will fall, and then what happens? chaos. when the rebels start fighting for power amongst themselves.
