The same paper has another article, more recent, that states Qardawi (la) has called for Jihad in Egypt!!

If true, then he is just one wreck-less crazy fool.

It seems that Saudi has engineered a palace coup. Qatar was always punching above its weight. It is likely that the Saudis convinced the US to back the stepping down of the Qatari emir in favor of his son. The US did provide security via its bases and always had that type of leverage.

This seems to be the case to me as well. Qatar is slowly losing their political proxies across the Middle East.

Which means Saudi is consolidating its power in the region, which isn't actually a good thing. Though many of these non-Salafi Sunnis might finally wake up to the reality that the Saudis are snakes

I don't know man. Most of them just focus on whatever their leaders tell them to focus on. Rarely do you see any of their religious leaders point out KSA as a source of tension within the Ummah. It's usually about the same ol tailor-made oppressed Muslim narrative in Palestine, Kashmir, Syria etc.

Although it's good in the sense that groups like Hamas will realize that their success is dependent on Iran, rather than politically fragile MB groups.
