Blast on bus kills 22 Shia pilgrims in Pakistan.

Happened a couple of hours ago.

Inna lillahe wa inna alaihe rajeoon.

Shia need to have their own security agency in Pakistan.

For how long would they rely on mercenary Paki army and sold out (to WahabiArabia) Paki security agencies.

Why Pakistani and Iraqi Shia have so much in common in suffering, misery, political dumbness, and standing together? What is the KEY ideology they both are missing?

Nothing is going to happen. For centuries, shias have been killed and this is how it will continue to happen.

Pakistani shias are weak, have no leadership and are disunited. There is no hope that they can resist this genocide. So my fears are that it will continue to get worse and worse. This may be just the beginning.

May Allah hasten the reappearance of our Imam (as). That is the only hope.

Inna lillahe wa inna alaihe rajeoon.

Lebanon, Iraq, Pakistan - wherever there is big Shia population, it is under attack today.

When and who will break the back of this Takfiri terrorist menace? It used to be much better; it used to be relatively peaceful in the gone decades...

Almost 50 killed in car bomb wave

At least 49 people have been killed in a wave of car bombs in the Iraqi cities of Baghdad and Hilla, officials say.

The blasts come a day after at least 23 people were killed in bomb explosions in the Iraqi capital.

Last month, more than 1,000 people were killed in attacks which mostly hit Shia and government targets.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attacks, but in the past Sunni militant groups have targeted Shia areas.

Medical sources in Hilla say the main hospital has so far received 35 bodies from seven car bombings.

In the capital Baghdad, bombs in mainly Shia districts killed at least 14 people.

Wave of bombs in Baghdad targets Shiites in run-up to Iraq elections

Wave of car bombings hit several, mostly Shiite neighborhoods of Baghdad on Wednesday morning, killing at least 16 people and wounding dozens, officials said, the latest bout of violence as Iraq prepares to hold the country's first parliament elections.

No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attacks but the bombings bore the hallmarks of an al-Qaida-inspired group and other Sunni insurgents, who frequently use suicide and car bombs to target public areas and government buildings in their bid to undermine confidence in the Shiite-led government.

Baghdad car bombs kill 60; militants storm Ramadi university

BAGHDAD/RAMADI Iraq (Reuters) - A wave of car bombs exploded across Baghdad on Saturday, killing more than 60 people, and militants stormed a university campus in western Iraq, security and medical sources said.

In total, there were a dozen blasts in mainly Shi'ite districts of the capital, the deadliest of which occurred in Bayaa, where a car bomb left 23 people dead, many of them young men playing billiards.

Other bombs went off near a cinema, a popular juice shop and a Shi'ite mosque.

No group immediately claimed responsibility for any of the bombings, but the Shi'ite community is a frequent target for Sunni Islamist insurgents who have been regaining ground and momentum in Iraq over the past year.

Bismillaah ir Rahmaan ir Rahiim  In The Name Of Allaah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.  As salaamu alaykum  The Peace Be Upon You.

I had thought there was a verse in Qur'an, warning against using fire as a punishment. I've been unable to find it thus far. I'll continue looking. These people claim that some Shiite (in Iraq) used fire to execute one of their fighters. So, this is supposed to be revenge, I guess. It is mindless, none the less. Not easy to watch, so I've removed the video.

Amnesty slams UAE trial of Lebanese Shiites

BEIRUT: The terrorism trial of eight Lebanese citizens who are Shiite and detained in the United Arab Emirates is unfair and based on fabricated confessions obtained under torture, Amnesty International said Thursday. A verdict is expected on May 15 in the trial of the eight men, who are all Shiite and were arrested in the UAE between December 2017 and February 2018.

Amnesty International said the charges of planning attacks in the UAE on orders of the Iranian-backed Lebanese organization Hezbollah were trumped up.

“These men were tortured, they were forced into making confessions,” Sima Watling, a researcher for the Britain-based rights group, told AFP.

She said the defendants had lived in the United Arab Emirates for years but were denied regular access to their families or to a lawyer.

One of the eight is Abdel-Rahman Talal Chouman, who had lived in the UAE for more than 15 years and been working as a safety and security trainer with Emirates Airline.

During an April 3 session at the state security chamber of the Federal Appeal Court in Abu Dhabi, he described how he was tortured for six hours at a time and forced to sign a confession he was not even given a chance to read.

“He had documents in his laptop for training his colleagues on scenarios of possible attacks ... these were part of the accusation that he was planning an attack on the airport,” Watling said.

“If the authorities take these confessions in this trial as being the truth, they are not abiding by international law,” she said.

All of them have been held in solitary confinement, more than two weeks of which can amount to torture, according to United Nations standards for the treatment of prisoners.

The detained men are accused by the Emirati authorities of collaborating with Hezbollah.

The UAE is a close ally of Sunni powerhouse Saudi Arabia, which considers Shiite-dominated Iran to be its arch enemy, and lists Hezbollah as a terrorist organization.

“It is clearly fabricated, it is a bogus trial against people who happen to be Shiite from the south of Lebanon,” Watling said, urging the court to recognize that the trial was unfair and set the eight free.

In a Ramadan message to the UAE leadership Tuesday, Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil called for the eight to be granted amnesty.
