Why Do Salafis Spread Their Legs When They Pray?

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

I have observed that more and more Sunnis, while turning more extreme and towards Salafism, spread their legs while standing in prayer, and the feet touch the feet of the next.
What Sunni Hadeeth is that?

I haven't observed that on normal Sunnis. So why do Salafis spread their legs while standing in prayer? Also do their women spread their legs as well, while standing in prayer(please don't misunderstand, as this is a serious question)?

So maybe a Salafi or someone who knows about Salafism can explain.

Because you have to pray "foot to foot; shoulder to shoulder".  Otherwise Shaitan will fill the gaps and pray.

(salam)

only shoulder to shoulder not foot to foot. "Shoulder to Shoulder" hadith found in Shia and Sunni Hadith books. Only Salafi/Wahabi do foot-to-foot not others Sunni

Yes, we spread our legs to touch the others and shoulder to shoulder and get close as possible so we don't leave gaps in between for shatian to get in.

If you are trying to stand shoulder to shoulder, it's impossible to stand feet to feet.

If you stand feet to feet, it's impossible to stand shoulder to shoulder.

Doing both at same time is impossible, try it and you will prove it by standing just a couple of people.

Salafis men and women stand like their master Ibless the arrogant clown feet to feet.

Muslims (Shia and Sunni) stand shoulder to shoulder without also trying to stretch and touch each other's feet.

According to Hadith, standing shoulder to shoulder is recommend, not standing feet to feet which these children of Iblees do.

No disrespect intended, but whats with the weird body-leg-hip positioning while they recite tashahud? They sit down with their bent legs, and they drop a shoulder to one side, elevating the other, as they jerk their fingers up and down, 'hammering shaytaan' (what I was told by the local Sunni sheikh?). It seems like a bad pilates exercise.

Salam 'Alaikum.

Do you see how it's shoulder to shoulder and their feet are also touching? That's what I meant.

How come the distance between the Sheikh leading the prayers and the congregation has such a massive gap? A army of shaytans could fit in there...

(bismillah)

I dont understand why would satan go under your legs... :donno:

Besides, is that suppose to mean satan has different forms or is really tiny?

Why would satan come during prayer when we are focused on Allah? Does he not show, when in fact we are not focused on Allah?

Also, there are gaps all over the place, cant satan be there as well?

Doesnt make any rational sense at all...

the another thing is when you're praying Salat individually at home. And there are gaps so much then. I think it is not about Satan. Actually Shoulder-to-Shoulder hadiths found in Sunni and Shia Hadith Books. Only Salafi is the one, who join feet-to-feet + shoulder-to-shoulder.

dude, since when does shaytan pray ?

To your surprise Shaitan prays salat and prays a lot. Iblees is particularly a big time "mowahid", the problem with him is, he is opposed to Nabuwat and by default Imamat.

There are three kind of people who claim to be from the believers of Allah swt:

1. Jins and Humans who only believe in Allah swt -> they are pure Shaitani people. Kharjis are part of this group.

2. Jins and Humans who believe in Allah and Prophet only -> still misguided Shaitans, Sunni, Sufyani etc.

3. Jins and Humans who believe in Allah swt, Prophet, and 12 Aimah -> these people are true Momineen faith wise

That was an interesting surprise.

It DOES actually makes sense that Shaytan believes in Allah but denies Nubuwwat, because his sin was caused from refusing to prostrate to Adam.

Shaytan's belief is a lot more firm in Allah (swt) and Judgment day hence his(L) promise to misguide mankind till judgment day.

Notice how in Hadith books, whenever Prophet s and Iblees had an encounter, Iblees appeared in a face of a Muslim praying salat etc. There is an important event too when people saw someone praying devotionally and Prophet first sent AbuBaker to kill him, and then Umer, and they both came back questioning Prophet that why Prophet wanted to kill such a devoted salat offerer? Then Pophet sent Imam Ali who came back and told that the devoted fellow ran away after which Prophet told that it was the cursed one.

Nevertheless a lesson learned for Wahabis and Sunnis, that Allah doesn't even like HIS own name to be uttered alone, whenever HE reminds us of Himself, he adds Prophet with him and some times those who are favored by Allah swt namely the Ahlulbayt.

Note for Sunnis - quit spreading your legs at least during the salat and come to the right Islam, the Shia Islam.

People of the South Asian variety have a tradition of folding the corners of their prayer rugs because they believe that if they don't, Shaitan will pray on them.  Similarly, people of the Salafi variety have a tradition of closing the gaps because they believe that Shaitan can sneak in between them and pray.

I still fail to see how Shaitan praying is a problem.  :donno:

I mean, wouldn't it be a good thing?
