Please be less hasty in condemning others as misguiding, etc.. For example: http://www.shiachat....s/#entry2244354

The belief that the prophet was bewitched is a Sunni belief that is rejected by the Shias, and there is no doubt about that. However, that does not state that in anyway that the effects of sihr, does not exist Please refer to these links.

Your links are irrelevant. If it does not exist, then how does something non-existent have an effect? - unless we are talking about the placebo effect or trickery or otherwise. For example, the law of cause and an effect requires a cause; if the cause is non-existent, then how do you suppose the effect came into being? I have nothing further to say.

Can you prove magic doesnt exist? Just because a classical scholar says so doesnt make it true. The quran is clear on this issue, no matter what hadith says otherwise it cannot go against the quran. I dont know about this guys story, to me it seems fishy, however, magic does exist and it did in previous times as according to the quran. Now in recent times, I dont think its relevant in my opinion, but only Allah knows. There maybe different types of magic, maybe physical or metaphysical, idk. Just wanted to state this, wa salaam.

The articles are clearly relevant to what I say here. The second one "How does one ward of black magic" offers almost similar advice as the one I gave in my post ,so your opposition towards it still remains unclear to me.

I think you misunderstood me here. I only denied that the prophet was bewitched as the Sunnis claimed have happened, but I did not deny the effects of black magic in a sense that it does not exist. I'm convinced that it does exist and these simply sources are an indication to that as well the verses of the Quran. The hadith you posted , if you are trying to argue with it that sihr is not real, is contradicting to the clear evidence that it exists. Plus , you can't use that one source to justify your argument when clearly the Quran says otherwise.

I am not trying to prove that magic does not exist; nor did I give you any ahadith - that you think I did leads me to question whether you properly read what I link you to; nor were your links relevant in any way to what I said, so there was no need to post them in a reply quoting my post; nor did I imply that you deny the effects of magic; nor was I talking about the supposed "bewitchment" of the Prophet. A previous post of yours in this thread to a sister seemed overly harsh, especially in light of her position being supported by a major classical scholar. So, my advice to you is not to be so hasty in condemnation of others or their words. Just take it instead of arguing about irrelevant things. No offence intended.

Oh then my mistake. Its just that you linked to a post from Mac with a hadith stating :"According to Ibn Idris, one of our great classical scholars, there is no such thing as magic"

Definitely see a doctor if this something medical. You don't want to find out a decade down the road when the medical condition worsens and becomes acute.

With that, the symptoms you are suggestions, if not medical, could be someone assigned some Shayateen Jins on you or they got attached to you on their own. One thing with them is, they are one big time jahil (uneducated) beings, are extremely stubborn, and are jealous of humans for their lack of achievements. Notice how they are in this world for million of years and haven't accomplished even an iota of what humans have established. Do not go to all kinds of charlatans, instead travel to a marja or to a shrine of Aimah (as) and get yourself treated there. Also one more advice, try to be happy and content all the time. Only the most depressed or bleakest of people become their victims if any. Have your house be filed with happiness, purity of Islam and well manners. Houses filled with conspiracies, hatred, fights, yelling, and overall darkness of bad human behavior also tend to become their victims. Also simple Islamic teachings of akhlaq of changing clothes, of remaining tahir all the time, of eating food, or having intercourse, of not seeing, listening, watching haram keeps them away. Everything opposite becomes an open invitation to them. Only if you could see, you won't imagine how many of them lurk around in the houses of bad reputes such as dance floors, red light areas, in casinos and in Wahabi palaces of gatherings.

As far as I understood, the words used by scholars to describe the effect of magic are "la haqiqat lilsihr" which means that the magic has no real effect, for example, in the story of prophet Musa alayhi assalam, the wizards threw sticks that moved like snakes, Tusi radhia allahu annhu said that they made that trick by taking some intestines or dead snakes, dried them up them filled them with mercury, when they threw them near the fires the mercury made them move like real snakes.

This is what they meant by the magic has no reality, it dose not mean it was not practised but it means that the effect is delusional and not real.

The thing that lead people today to see things and hear things are the drugs.

The world has jins nowadays too as they were in the past .Jins have not ceased to exist. So how can you blame people that they they are on drugs if they cannot see somebody and yet feel or hear something.

If not helpful, you shouldn't be accusing. What if it happened to you ,will you say the same reason.

Not an accusation brother, it is one possible cause....

Jin and Magic are 2 things. As some scholars believed that magic effect has no reality, also some scholars belief that jins have no means to affect human body. If someone is asking for help, then we may start with things that are natural before proceeding to the supernatural causes. If someone is ill, his illness might be a gift from Allah or a test/punishment from Allha or it could be a magic/jin issue. In either case, the person should seek help to alleviate the illness through common ways before going to the uncommon ways.

To the OP:

Do not listen to people who are against black magic, which is present in this world.

Just do these small deeds/amals daily, morning and evening, and blow on yourself and home:

1) 11 times 4-Quls (Surah-e-Kafiroon/Ikhlaas/Falaq/Naas)

2) 11 times Naad-e-Ali Kabeer

Also recite Dua-e-Sabasab on every Thursday (Friday night) http://www.duas.org/sabaasab.htm

InshaAllaah all will be well soon.

(bismillah)

(salam)

For black magic try to recite the following as often as possible.

1) Surah Falaq and Naas

2) 2:1-3,102

For jinn, there is no easy way to deal with them on your own, you will need to find someone who can. In the meantime you can recite the following as often as possible:

And another good dua, requesting help from Imam Mahdi (atf), recite 70 times or as much as possible:

In general, dua sabaasab and dua mashlool should also help.
