`umar Gets Better Revelations Than Muhammad?

(bismillah)

(salam)

So, if I understand this correctly, according to Sunnis, `Umar is a better recipient of revelation than Muhammad (pbuh). Let's give an example. When Muhammad (pbuh) got a revelation, it was through angel Gabriel (as). When `Umar got revelation, it was from Allah (swt) himself!! Here is what Wikipedia has to say about the way Sunni's believe that Adhan came about. Also listed are the references from Sunni hadith books.

"Sunnis state that the adhan was not written or said by the Islamic prophet, Muhammad, but by one of his Sahabah (his companions). Umar, a prominent sahabah of Muhammad, had a vision in his dream, in which the call for prayers was revealed to him by God. He later related this to his companions. Meanwhile, this news reached Muhammad, and he liked it and confirmed it."

Sahih Bukhari 89.329

Sahih Muslim : Book 020: Number 4477, 4478, 4480, 4481, 4482, 4483

Sunan Abu Dawood : Book 36: Number 4266

Sunan al-Tirmidhi (Arabic) Chapter of Fitan,2:45 (India) and 4:501 Tradition # 2225 (Egypt) Hadith #2149 (numbering of al-'Alamiyyah)

So, just to be clear, here is how divine revelation is given.

If you are the Prophet of Allah (swt) you have to get your revelations from an Angel because getting it directly from Allah (swt) would be too great for a mere human.

If you are a companion of the Prophet of Allah (swt) you get to get the revelation directly from Allah (swt) because your status is so great that you can handle his glory.

Does anyone see the problem with this?!

Well, this IS the Sunni/Shia discussion forum, right? :donno:

Well yes, I didn't saw that, but you could contact a sunni (if you know one), or create a account in a sunni-forum. That will be sufficent.

I've been banned from sunniforum for asking questions like these. Ask PurifiedTruth. We went on there together to just ask questions. We only posted Sunni hadiths and asked them to clarify and we got banned for "disrespecting the sahabah".

"disrespecting the sahabah" okay...
so if you state what they have written blindly, and ask its authenticity and how it makes sense, they so realize their blindness in stating such a viled hadith that too on the world's biggest encyclopedia and instead of correcting it atleas ban you for disrespecting the 'sahabah'.. epic, its just epic. i mean isnt this a part of their belief, 'whatever clashes with the quran and other hadith's of prophet is a false hadith, even if it has been said by a well known narrator' this hadith obvioulsy contradicts with the quran and with the hadiths of prohpet like the ones where prophet clearly shows the great difference of degree between him and the rest of the people and 'sahabahs'. and plus the prophet went on miraj, and has been obviously said by all the muslims, let it be sunni or shia, the only person to be invited by Allah Himself to meet, Allah did not by His ownself called anyone or directed anyone before like this, surely he called away hazrat isa, but just because hazrat isa sought His help, and then the event with hazrat musa where Allah showed His noor to the people, but only cause hazrat musa continuously asked Allah to do so to satisfy his 'sahabahs'. so why would anyone be even slightly better than prophet in any aspect? and nor can anyone be equal to the prophet, unless he is made of the same noor as the prophet, which are the 14 masoomeen we believe in.
