Abu Bakr (ra) was the most closest friend and father in law of Prophet Muhaamad (s). Why do some Shias say bad words against him? What are the reasons behind disliking him?

(salam)

there are many reasons.. but one reason is that Abu Bakr hurt Bibi Fatima (as), it was about Fadak. and this incident is also quoted in Sahih Bukhari. So how can we love those who hurt Ahl-e-Bait (as) ? and Bibi Fatima (as) never forgive him.

(salam)

Because after the death of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) there was a huge divide. It was between his family and his companions. Things got ugly and there were wars where people died. We have to pick a side. And so we chose the side that the Prophet (pbuh) ordered us to choose. He said over and over that we should hold fast to the Quran and the Ahlulbayt (his family). So when fights happened, wars happened, and people died, we took the side of Ahlulbayt (as) because that is what we were told to do by the Prophet (pbuh). Sunnis, on the other hand, take the side of the enemies of the Ahlulbayt (as) because that's what `Umar (one of their enemies) said to do and Sunnis regard `Umar as wiser and of higher status than Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). (See my thread before you call me a liar.)

I don't know what other Shias think of Abu Bakr but I personally think it would be better if he had died when he was a baby :) :) :) :) :) ....

That way he still had a chance to go to Jannah. lolzzzzzzzzz

Astagfirullah

What have you written about the Prophet (saw)'s closest friend? Such bad words against Prophet's dear friend is not expected from a Muslim. Please seek tauba. Abu Bakr (ra) was one of the greatest companions of the Prophet (saw). Insulting any companions including Abu Bakr (ra) is totally prohibitted.

Who said that? Let me guess. A companion?

Prophet (pbuh) was very pleased with Hazrat Abu Bakr (ra)'s dedication towrds Islam. Abu Bakr dedicated his whole life to Islam. Just because Hazrat Ali (ra) was not the immidiate successor of the prophet (pbuh) you can't say bad things about Hazrat Abu Bakr (ra). DidHazrat Ali (ra) say anything bad about him? NO.

Shias also should stop insulting him.

Who do you think was more dearer to Prophet Mohammed (pbuh), was it Bibi Fatemah (s) or Abu Bakr?

Who was called a part of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) ?

Whose anger means angering the prophet (pbuh) which means angering Allah (swt)?

When you find the answers to the above questions you will have the answer to your question as well.

read Nehjul Balagah, and see what Imam Ali (as) said about Abu Bakar (Abi Quhafa). now don't say Nehjul Balagah is a shia book. I myself don't like saying bad words to Abu Bakar or anyone, but whatever they did was totally wrong. Abu Bakar hurt Bibi Fatima (as) ... that's fact which is found in Shia and Sunni books.

Some sources for you brother:

We read in Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 53, Number 325:

Narrated 'Aisha:

(mother of the believers) After the death of Allah 's Apostle Fatima the daughter of Allah's Apostle asked Abu Bakr As-Siddiq to give her, her share of inheritance from what Allah's Apostle had left of the Fai (i.e. booty gained without fighting) which Allah had given him. Abu Bakr said to her, "Allah's Apostle said, 'Our property will not be inherited, whatever we (i.e. prophets) leave is Sadaqa (to be used for charity)." Fatima, the daughter of Allah's Apostle got angry and stopped speaking to Abu Bakr, and continued assuming that attitude till she died. Fatima remained alive for six months after the death of Allah's Apostle.

We also read in both Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim:

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH&HF) had frequently said:

"Fatimah is a part of me. Whoever makes her angry, makes me angry."

Sunni references: - Sahih al-Bukhari, Arabic-English, v5, Traditions #61 and #111 - Sahih Muslim, section of virtues of Fatimah, v4, pp 1904-5

We finally read in the Holy Quran:

[33:57] Those who annoy Allah and His Messenger - Allah has cursed them in this World and in the Hereafter, and has prepared for them a humiliating Punishment.

Okay? Prophet (pbuh) died before Abu Bakr apostated.

Abu Bakr dedicated his whole life to Islam.

No. He dedicated his whole life to himself.

Just because Hazrat Ali (ra) was not the immidiate successor of the prophet (pbuh) you can't say bad things about Hazrat Abu Bakr (ra).

That's stupid logic and if you ever meet a Shi`a that says that, smack him. We say bad things about Abu Bakr because he was a bad person.

DidHazrat Ali (ra) say anything bad about him? NO.

YES.

Shias also should stop insulting him.

Sunnis also should stop being blindly ignorant.

I'd say that the event of Fai and denying Fadak showed Abu Bakar's real self.

The event of his appointment as Caliph showed that he preferred his Quraeish decent over the prospect of an Ansars' take-over.

And in Heracluis event, we see that Heracluis do not prefer someone who is out to champion his ethnic group (Quraeish) saying that it shows that such a person is not sincere in the fight for the religion, but in a struggle for his creed. Struggling for creed as can be seen in Uthmaniah Dynasty, is typically Muawiyah mentality.

And what's wrong with Muawiyah's mentality is in his embrace of the Roman religion.

Assalamualaikum

Let us all stop being ignorant and try to see what each one of us is believing when we are quoting things, and by things I mean scripts except Quran [only text of Quran without commentaries]. We are believing a chain of narrators, perceptions and opinions of people. I don't wanna throw the debate into fluid but what I want is that each one of us takes a minute and ponders over this reality [correct me if I am wrong]. So empirically whatever you or me or anybody else is quoting is 5o% right [ whenever anything but Quran is quoted]. Let us not be judgmental with 50% of knowledge and know how.

Islam is not a creed, it is a religion and a universal religion.

May Allah guide us all. (Ameen)

Yes Abu Bakr was promised the Jannah... Really.. Which Jannah, the same one, which Prophet (pbuh) said many times that Hasan and Hussain (as) are it's leader and Fatima Zahra (as) is the owner of it.

So you think this Abu Bakr of yours who hated and tortured Fatima, Hasan and Hussain (as) will go to the same Jannah.

And don't get me even started on the daughter of Abu Bakr namely Ayesha whose hatred for Fatima (as) and Hasan and Hussain (Salam on both of these Aimah) was well known during all her wretched life.

Tell you what, I pray and you pray that may Allah (swt) end you up where Abu Bakr will go, and end me up where Fatima (as) and Hasnian (as) are. InshAAllah and Ameen. :)

The Prophet (pbuh) prophesied to the Muslim martyrs of Uhud that they would go to Heaven.

So, Abu Bakr wondered: "Aren't we their brothers who have submitted to Islam just as they did, and fought in jihad just as they did; so, why don't you give us the good news that we will go to heaven? The Prophet (pbuh) said: "It is absolutely true that you are their brothers, but I do not know what you will do after my death".

Abu Bakr will go to Jannah.. Hehe .. Hehe.. Hehe..

Ok I officially embrace the 'cult of hehe' ..

In Shaa Allah you won't go where Abu Bakr [Ra] Is Going whom is buried with the prophet SAW and is going to the same destination as the prophet SAW,...let's just stop at that, I don't want you earning any more sins that you've already earned.

Edit: Please quoting me with made up fairy tails. Thank you. & NO don't send me a bunch of bukari hadiths saying this and that, I am not knowledgeable on that and I'll keep quiet.

How silly can Sunnis be.. Being buried next to Prophet (pbuh) is not an honor. Did prophet bury him next to himself or did he bury himself next to prophet? Think about it!

If anything it proves one thing only, Syeda Fatima Zahra (as) passéd away in 4 month after the demise of Prophet, but why ruling clan that is Abu Bakr and Aisha did not let her bury next to prophet. How come Abu Bakr was buried next to prophet???

Think how sham your Sunni religion is.

She was also mad at abu baker and umar so she knew they would end up next to the prophet by force, this is why she did not tell anyone about her death but Ali A.S. Its honestly mind boggling how his family, his blood, isnt next to him, but two "friends" who became muslim by force after the prophet took mecca. The other sad reality is they destroyed all of their graves even Kadija A.S and made it into a toilet.... :(

What would the prophet say?

Abu Bakr and Umar became Muslim a long time before Fatah mecca.

Your point? If when you accepted Islam alone determines your good character, remember Imam Ali (a.s) was first man to accept Islam.

So what? While they were worshipping idols (unforgivable sin), Imam Ali was helping the prophet with spreading islam and praying to Allah.

Who was worshiping idols?

After one converts to Islam their previous sins are forgiven so there is no point even mentioning their lives prior to Islam.

Even if their contributions to Islam cannot be assessed, don't their contributions (or lack of it in some cases) to humanity still count?

Do you still have some love for the rashidun, lol? Do you not understand the significance? The Prophet was born among idol worshipers, Ever since Imam Ali was born, he worshiped Allah and joined the prophets mission. While this being the opposite for Abu Baker and umar, they were worshiping idols, burying their daughters and such. There is a essence of purity from the get-go here, and that is the difference. Even then, "if" Allah forgave them or what ever, have you not forgotten all their actions during their reign? How many innovations and illegitimate actions against the prophet, they have committed? How many times have they disobeyed Allah? Did they not try and kill the prophet too? Come on man...

Perhaps then the Prophet (pbuh) needed someone like you to advise him on who he should have allowed to join him.

Anyway, interestingly some Orientalist think that the early shia view of Abu Baker was different i.e. more favourable. Some mind you.

Then if it wasn't a problem for him it shouldn't be a problem for you!

Who said he wasnt a problem for the prophet? The point mainly lies after the prophets death. One thing he taught us is to never enjoin good and evil. The problem with baker and his fellow friends is they are hypocrites and in Islam, there is no place for them. I think you may have read the quran, hopefully.... You should know what Allah says about hypocrites. In Shia Islam you dont pish posh the good and the bad, its not a joke. You "ENJOIN" good and "FORBID" evil. Morality is lead by example, and that example comes from personalities. When they interfere, your religion gets destroyed within.
