Umar Recites Poetry For Ibn Abi Wud?

I am looking for historical narrations on the incident that ibn al khattab recited poetry in favor of ibn Abi Wud (la) at the battle of khandaq

from BOTH SHIA and SUNNI sources...

Is this event true?

I don't know why those ahaadeeth are incomprehensible for you. Perhaps you should study them more.

Explicit statements from certain companions showing they were bad is contradictory how? You don't think they let out their inner desires once in a while only to be reprimanded and revert back to hiding their intentions?

SAIMA I am asking a historical question, either u know the answer or not...Honestly i have no motive other then some uncle was mentioning it and I wanted to verify whther its true or not.
