(salam)

So according to Shia Islam, Adam and Eve (as) were not in paradise because

1) paradise is an eternal place where everyone in it is eternal according to Quran so no one gets rejected from it

2) Paradise is close to Allah (swt) so there is no evil in it

3) Sheytan was there too deceiving Adam and Even (as) AFTER Sheytan was condemned by Allah (swt) so it could have been paradise or else he wouldn't be there.

4) Angels feared someone he would create injustice on earth before Adam was expelled (this particular one is my observation)

It seems that Shia Islam also teaches Adam and Even garden was here on earth. Some say that was in Yemen some say Persian some say elsewhere. So question is, what you all think of this and if there are any narrations?

The garden of paradise, according to the most likely explanation, is a barzakhi (inbetween) paradise, neither earthly (since they both 'DECENDED'from there) and neither heavenly, as rightly explained by the OP above.

Look up al mizan by Allamah Tabatabai for an explanation, and other opinions on the matter.

My blog has the complete lecture series on Adam, and the 'perfect human' (insaan kamil in the quran) discourse, translated in english.
