Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi

I need some recommendations on books I should get from Iran. My mother will be going on a ziyarat soon, inshAllah, and I can have her bring me some books. I was interested in Al-Kafi and Bahar ul Anwar. I know these have several volumes. InshAllah she will find a book that contains all volumes, if possible. I need them in english, since I can't understand Farsi or Arabic.

One more thing. Can someone provide me with a website for the two books mentioned above, translated into english. The only reason I am requesting these books is because I can not find them online.....in english.

Thank you in advance.

Thank you brother Ali Musaaa.

I see they only have 3 volumes. Are the others not translated yet?

I would prefer to buy a hard copy. If my mother does not find it there, then I will most likely buy these.

You are most welcome,

Yes, thus far three have been completely translated, I am sure the others are not too far off, in fact I think they are all translated but are under going editing. They are revising their work for Hard Copy's I believe.

(bismillah)

Salam

Get the following english books from Ansariyan publications:

1) Al-Ghaibah - Ibn Abu Zainab Nomani

2) Al-Ghaibah - Sheikh Toosi

3) Al-Khisal - Sheikh Sadooq

Thank you. I will look into these.

I heard about Al-Ghaibah by Sheikh Toosi.

Is this the book I think he had a dream about? In which, Imam e Zamana (AJTF) specifically told him to write it and that it was something that he owed to Them, the Ahlul-Bayt (A.S.)? Or am I confusing Sheikh Toosi with another scholar?

Sounds good. InshAllah she will find an all-in-one hard copy in Iran. If not, then I will get these. Thank you once again.

Books are books you can always find them.

I think in Iran they have the best Qurans and Mafihs if I go to Iran I will get one of each inshallah.

I want books that are hard to find in english.....even on the internet. Alhumdulillah Quran is readily available.

Sorry I meant Mafatih...Mafatih al-Janan.

As for Quran I still think you should get one they are made very pretty :) Lots of art work they put in those expensive ones and use good paper.

If you can get your hands on some of Ayatullah Mutahari's books, they usually are the most balanced one that have both Figh, sprituality, hadith, Quran, etc. Other books I have een tend to be focusing on one thing but his books are usually very balanced.

There is a book I am reading (so I can teach it) it is called "Fundamental of Islamic thoughts" Its the real deal. No nonesense may Allah have mercy on his soul

Oh ok. Thank you brother. I'll look into it. It sounds interesting.

What do you mean by "nonsense"? As in, define nonsense.

Who are you going to teach?

I will not be able to go this year, inshAllah next year. My mother is going on ziyarat this year. I will make dua for you.

May Allah (SWT) help you with your future endeavors and keep you on the siratul mustaqeem.

Are you going to Najaf, Qom, or a hawza somewhere else?

Salam

No I wished. I am just doing it online.

Walaikum Salam

Well the ilm is the important part. It doesn't matter if you get it online or at the hawzas in other countries. A downside is that you can't get your questions answered by the major ullema living Najaf or Qom and just living there is a major plus. I have a friend living in Najaf, studying at the hawza, I just wanted to stay there with him when I went on ziyarat. It's such an amazing environment. You walk out of his dorm and the Roza of Imam Ali (A.S.) is literally right in front of you, probably a 100 or so feet from his door. He goes to Karbala every Thursday night and comes back Friday. InshAllah you'll have a chance to experience this for yourself.
