What kind of experience do you people have with village and city and the people there?

I have experienced many young people who were from village and were far more successful than people who were from the city. Concerning studying(especially in sciences) people from the village seem to be far more dilligent and focused than people from the city in general. Now what is the secret behind the success of village people?

Why are people from village and traditional people working harder than people from the city.

I have some options:

-People from village are accustumed to harsher life styles, like having tp wake up earlier, experiencing the weather directly, having to walk long distances instead of public transportation etc.

-People from village are more connected to nature which gives them more power in return

-People from village are living simplier lives

-People from village are not or less exposed to filth which destroy them spiritually, like music, movies, cinema, parties etc.

Now what do you think about this? Do you also think that people from village(or who have grown up away from city life) are more diligent and hard working or do you think the opposite? And what is the reason behind the difference.

Maybe it's because people in the village dont get distracted and they dont have the same facilities as the people in the city. However there are many people that are in the city that are successful but maybe the main difference is that people in the village work harder to get what they want then people in the city e.g they might have to go out and pick up fruits from the garden or feild ,whilst the city guy/girl just gets it from the supermarket or order there food online/by phone, lol.

They 'might' be more grateful for what they have. However these are just assumptions and not facts. A person that is less fortune tends to work hard to get to what they want. Unlike the rich he can pay and get to the poisition they desire. Having said that their are rich people that dont give there children what they want, instead they make them work harder, so that learn that things dont always come easily.

The second point you stated about being connected to nature etc, that doesnt necessarily make them more in power because they might be working for a city girl.

I deliberately didn't make the difference between poor and rich. I have experienced both poor and wealthy villagers who also focus on their job, studyings etc. and were successful at what they were doing.

Whereas even the poor city youngsters(even from Muslim immigrant background) become or try to become either rappers, musicians, sometimes drug dealers, chasing girls, clubbing, while they should even work harder to make something out of their lives.

Let alone the rich people from city. But the rich people from the city make it at the end of the day because they usually have some connections and their rich daddies pay everything for them.

But the poor city guy stays poor/unemployed and even loses his roots. They even get soft and lose their morals.

They even are aware of their situation but they go the other direction. Even some at my have part time jobs or are taxi drivers while studying but they are not successful at making something out of their lives, like having success at their studying, have a good job etc.

On the other hand village people come to the city, study and are successful. And I have talked about this with others who have made similar experiences in other countries.

Why is the city a bad place for poor people? Does the city mutilate people's skills and make them unsuccessful and a bunch of losers?

Why this is an important topic to me, it's because of the urbanization nowadays, people move from villages to the cities. And unemployment rises in big Western cities of USA, Europe(like Spain, Greece etc.) and Australia and peolpe are very uncontent.

^^P.S. this has something to do with Islam :P. The prophets and Aimmah grew up in villages and were shepherds and farmers

This subject is a lot more complex than you think. Perhaps you should read books on it starting with the history of the industrialization era.

And the mass urbanisation is engendered and the change in peoples' lives it caused.

Man I love my village, I am planning to spend atleast a month there after the completion of my degree.

Fresh air, beautiful mother nature, sky full of stars at night, what else do I want.

Bismehe Ta3ala,

Assalam Alikum.

If it was my choice to pick where to live, either the city of Beirut or the villiage, it would be the villiage. No doubt.

Yes, and then you can gossip along with all the Yaroun people

I visited Pakistan recently and stayed in the village for most of that time. Every evening at about 6pm, the whole extended family would gather in one room and sit together to chat and spend time together. Honestly, it was the most uncomfortable experience I have ever been through. All these women gossiping about everybody they know. Somebody's getting divorced, somebody's been shot, another is committing the heinous crime of having a love marriage, somebody else is being hanged for murder.......the list went on and on. I felt like running away.

It seems to me like living in the village leaves you with a very narrow view of the world. The people I was staying with never seemed to watch the news or even read a newspaper. It was like their nightly gossiping sessions were their dose of daily news.

I know people gossip in the city too but the gossiping in the village is on a whole different s cale.
