Between Zuhr And Asr

I've been told that after Zuhr, rather than praying Asr straight after reading Tasbih and Du'a which is allowed, it's recommended to delay a little before Asr to do ibadah, for instance reading Quran, more du'a, or exercising your body and/or mind.

How long should the recommended gap between the two prayers be?

To understand the various 1/7ths, please refer to my research on Ayatullah Khui's explanation for his ruling on the matter: http://miqdaad.blogspot.com/2011/10/harmonising-contradictory-narrations.html

Most other maraji's rulings are based on the same narrations...

Zawal (or a bit after it) == Fadheela for dhuhr and the time for its nafila begin

2/7th == Fadheela for asr and its nafila begin and the time for dhuhr's nafila ends

4/7th == Fadheela for dhuhr ends and the time for asr's nafila ends

6/7th == Fadheela for asr ends

as a sayed i must say that it is not necessary to leave a gap between Duhur and Asr you can pray them after each other because it doesnt make a difference whether you wait and hour or two.

Being a sayyid doesn't give you the right to mouth off. It does matter if he waits an hour or two between them because he might miss the fadheela for one or both prayers.

being a sayed does give me information passed on from generations and i do have knowledge and asked a couple of friends about this topic and they even answered there is no need to wait an hour or two, if you are sunni it may matter to you but if you were shia, there is no need to wait! please do your research before posting
