Need Help To Stop Masterbating

Make a niya to wake up for salat-ul-layl (even for 3 raka) and also to pray Fajr in the morning at right time.

This will keep you determined to remain tahir.

One more thing, do you know that you have to take a "cold shower" if you become najis with the haram act such as masturbation? So imagine taking the cold shower ghusl in any part of the day in the middle of December.

always have an ice-cold water in the fridge and drink before going to bed (or whenever the temptation comes)

eat very little (or try not to eat any) vegetabals, salad, red meat, bananas or chocolate.

try to never be alone.

hang a Quranic Verse (such as Ayatol Kursi) or the names of the Ahlulbait (as) on your wall, or have a Holy Quran in your room, so if you ever think about doing a haram act, you can look at them, and be ashamed of the awful act you thought of doing.

Good luck

nothing can stop you doing it if you cant control it, you need to keep control of yourself, maybe read quran before you sleep, or a story for instance and try to control your outcome.

I'm alright throughout the day but when I get to my bed, I just have to do it, so please can anyone help me from this sin.... I'm a 15 year old teenager who is a Shia sayyed

1. You don't have to do it. Try fasting throughout the day and praying salaat al-layl before you go to sleep at night. Also, reduce your red meat consumption, which has been known to increase sexual appetite in men.

2. Why on earth did you need to mention that you were a sayyid? What does that have to do with anything?

I know I am going to get criticized for this but why not getting a GF and do Sigha with her? It will be very hard to do it with a practicing Muslim girl but good thing about Sigha is that. She doesn't have to be Muslim or a practicing one.

Again I think legitimate sexual intercourse is the best way to avoid the illegitimate one. If that is not an option then some of the suggestions told you on this thread are good to try.

Where does this come from? First time I've heard it.

However, a cold taking a cold shower when feeling the need to commit the haram act in question may do some good.

Here is what Sayyid Sistani says

379. If a person who entered the state of Janabat due to an unlawful act takes a bath with warm water, the Ghusl will be valid even though one may perspire at that time. But the recommended precaution is that such a person should do Ghusl with cold water.

To the OP, stay in a room where others are there at all times, I am quite sure this would help, as I highly doubt you would do the act in front of others. Also, you may want to consider getting married.

Thanks.

Well, as suspected, you don't 'have' to use cold water, since it is only a recommended precaution (from quite a cautious marja).

Salaam,

Hopefully, you are already on the way to recovery. Whether you are a sayed or not is irrelevent, I'm not sure why you mentioned this fact. We are all prone to sin. However, no one can help you if you do not wish to change. Everyone has already given good advice, be sure to follow. I ask you one question though: would you committ this act if you knew our imams were watching you? Would you do this if you knew Imam Al Mehdi was watching you? Of course, Allah swt is watching you all the time but it seems some brothers and sisters take the Allah is merciful card with too much ease.

You are 15, I understand people will argue hormones and environments based on exploitation of the human body as an object of blah blah blah. All this is sugar coating the real problem. You have so many things that you should be focusing on other than this "urge." Your school, social life, family, sports, deen, health, among MANY others. If you want to stop, you will. Enough said. Now, the question is do you want to stop and move on before this issue gets out of hand and you end up feeling like [Edited Out]?

May Allah guide us all! I pray you and your family are doing well. Arbaeen is around the corner, great time to feel the love of ahlul bayt change your heart and soul.
