Hijabi At Talent Show?

Salam Alaykum brothers and sister, and I hope you are getting closer to Imam Hussain in this blessed month of Muharram inshaAllah

So, I am a hijabi who goes to a private school and our social committee is organising a fundraising talent show....Most of the entries are either singing/dancing, and obviously I can't do any of those. I really want to be able to do something to show that hijabis can partcicpate in events as well and that we don't always have to be marginalised in such gatherings...I was wondering if anyone here had a suggestion as to what I can do that will retain my modesty inshaAllah but also show that muslimahs are capable of "talent" so to speak.

P.S. I am in the sixth form...For those of you unfamiliar with the British system, that's like something you would call year 13...Basically, I'm 18 years old...

How about writing a poem and recite it, something beautiful and inspiring.

Since Inaya took my first answer, let me think what else...

* a comedic dialog (with another classmate) or monolog

* if you are artisticly talented, show an artwork and talk about its meaning and how it was created

* how about a cooking demonstration, a la Julia Child?

* interpetively reading a story or passage in a book (you can listen to some books on tape to see how well this can be done) or read a story or essay of your own

* if you know how...demonstrate Arabic calligraphy

What does a talent show have to do with Imam Hussein? Do you want her to recite some Latmiyat? or recite a Majlis?

What I was trying to suggest to the OP that she could tell the audience about sacrifice and love for our Imam (as). People can talk about religion even in a talent show.

Its a talent show man, there is no talent in that..who talks about religion in a talent show..she can join the debate club or something for that..
