salamon alaykum,

Syed Mohamad Baqr Alsadr in his book (Fiqh Alkhlaq) started with this question: is there a relation between fiqh which deals with laws ,halal and haram and the akhlaq which deals with attitudes and refinement of relationships?

Syed Mohamad described 4 ways through which we can establish a link between the 2 fields but i am going to mention only one of them: Fiqh is about Sharia laws and the shari'ah laws are about implementing the divine justice, not the personal or cultural likeness , and thus Fiqh is about the divine justice. It is clear for the experts that justice is essential topic in Akhlaq in a sense that akhlaq train the person to be aware about the goodness of justices and the ugliness of injustice

Syed concluded that Fiqh originates from akhlaq in general and the justice specifically

The book is in 2 parts covering the akhlaq sense in the mustahabat and makrohat

How much can the lack of knowledge of fiqh can affect the person piety ?

Scholars are of 2 types :knowing and practising, this one will survive, and knowing but not practising, this one will harm the people of hell by his bad smell. The most regretful man will be a man who called another man for obedience of Allah, the one who was called answered the call and worked accordingly, thus will survive but the caller who followed his desires and likes and didnt not work after he knew , the caller will be sent to hell

I have never understood why so many people differentiate between fiqh and akhlaq. You will hear them saying things like: “It is allowed according to fiqh but it is bad akhlaq”.Their mistake is that they are looking at certain laws of fiqh in isolation of others.

The information age has made it a bit more difficult to spot the ignorant. The ones who have information but lack proper understanding.

The Information Age has allowed the ignorant to surpass the supposed scholar, and the supposed scholar becomes confused about who is ignorant.

The fitna occurs when the supposed scholar sells his religion for a dime, and tries to assert his authority over what he does not understand.

The knowledgeable scholar will recognize this, and knows that he will be cursed if he does not let this become known publicly.

The Mahdi spends his life fighting such supposed scholars in order to stop the fitna. Those in Mahdis Army are in his Army because, they fight the fitna.

Deep understanding, or Fiqh, comes from deep observation of the supposed scholar, and observance of how much confusion and fitna it causes, particularly when supposed Sharia becomes how to piss and how not to piss, as though that in itself is not enough to cause confusion in the meaning of fiqh or aqhlaq.

The scholar can immediately recognize this, whereas the supposed scholar, is always confused.

Justice is to stop the supposed scholar in his tracks.

the differentiation is based on the wordily punishment associated with fiqh, with the acceptance of their worships like teh correctness of their salat and the fact that akhlaq is mostly a relative issue , people can make a thousand excuses for their bad akhlaq starting from bad childhood to hard life during adulthood

the place of akhlaq in one's religion is not clear, it isnt part of the five pillars ( as per fiqh rules ) nor part of the usool or forue

also akhlaq is not an act , it is mostly the spirit that you do your acts with , due to this nature it is hard to make any juridical law regarding them, they are mostly an issue related to ones individuality

also akhlaq is a sort of leveling up for ones spirit , it can not be forced , you can not teach it to kids the way you teach salat , the kids need to grow up and learn them on their own but because our religion is not meant to be hard (not that it is easy to be good at it ) the akhlaq are left out of the necessities to be a muslim , you are given a life time opportunity to learn them , i find this part of islam to be very beautiful
